Where did you order that custom suede strap and how much did it cost? It looks incredible and suits the watch so well!
Honestly - my bronze San Martin diver is, to the untrained eye, the most expensive and fancy looking watch in my collection, even though I have watches 4-5 times the price of the SM.
I've had people ask me what's that on my wrist, to which I reply it's a Chinese micro brand, that delivers exceptional quality and finishing for incredible value.
So much stuff thats a lot pricier and more "prestige" is manufactured in China with the last assembly steps in Switzerland or some more reputable place (if even that) - San Martin is in my eyes simple owning up to it and skipping a portion of the "western" price bump.
PVD coated Hamilton Kakhi Field Titanium automatic. I've had this for a bit over a year now and it got quite a lot of wrist time, as it was a gift by my girlfriend to commemorate our 10 year anniversary. The only scratch in the coating to this day was added by the previous owner and is on the side of the case between the lugs. Looks a bit like he slipped while exchanging straps. Otherwise it's flawless.
If the pvd got scratched elsewhere I think it would only add to the watch, as it's meant to be worn and used, especially as a field watch.
I just bought a fifty phantoms blue on accident.. two days ago I found one on eBay for 400€ starting offer and 900€ instant buy (don't know the exact term in english). Then it had 9 observers and zero offers. I put in the minimum offer of 400€ and left it at that. 20 minutes ago I was notified that I got it. There was no other offer than mine. New and full set with stickers on for 400€ 😂.I'm happy to join the gang very soon!

I had a meeting with a higher-up in my company (banking sector) and he sported a GINORMOUS black and gold diesel watch (to a suit). I didn't know they made 'em this big. I tried googling it later on and I think it was a "mega chief" which puts it at 51mm case size.
Normally I'm like "to each their own" but I couldn't help loosing even the last bit of respect I had for that guy.
