3 Watch Challenge: "Digital Delights"
A wee while ago I had posted about setting myself a 3 watch challenge. It's a personal experiment to see if I like having a 3 watch rotation, and if I could subscribe to the minimalist nature of a restricted collection like that. The rules I set myself are simple:
1) I am only allowed to wear the watches from completed collections, until the next collection has been completely purchased.
2) Due to the restricted nature of the challenge, each trio needs to be thought out and cater to most, if not all, occasions.
Having said all that, I'd like to introduce my first collection, 'Digital Delights'! 😄 I started with a lower-cost, fully digital theme. (Also happened to coincidentally all be Casios...go figure!)
The Daily Driver: Casio A168WA-1W
What's not to love about this wee retro watch? Brilliant history, finds its way into many collectors' watch boxes, and gets to stay there! (For good reason!) It's slips under the cuff of a work shirt, pairs well with a t-shirt and shorts, or even at a dressier dinner! The perfect all-rounder to start with.
The Diver/Beater: G-Shock GWB5600BP-1D
Most 3 watch collections I've seen will include a diver or sports watch of some kind. One that can be worn without worry at the beach, or on the side of a mountain. Being a digital collection, you don't look further than G-Shock! This one does the job admirably, and looks great doing it with a touch of blue on the dial!
The Complications/Traveler: Casio AE1200WHB-3B
To round off this trio, there's the watch with a few complications. From the dial to its functions, the 'Royale' carries that burden very well! I'm able to keep track of the time for my family members in 3 different countries, as well as feast my eyes on all the different displays! The only thing that it's still waiting on, is a custom leather strap to class it up a touch!
TOTAL COST: 185.76USD
I'll be wearing this set until the next one is complete! "What's next?", I hear no one asking. 😂Clue: it's military themed!

Bitten by the watch bug last year, but it's been one hell of a journey so far! Built spreadsheets, visited watch stores, taken so many notes, and collected a few along the way which tickled my fancy!
