My older brother was a great brother but had 5 affairs the first 5 years of his marriage. There was almost a greatness to his cheating. My sis in law eventually buried the past, both moved on until my brother passed at the shocking young age of 58 already many years ago. He left a pile of watches that he and I purchased together during the 80s and 90s including a 2tone Cartier Santos circa late 80s that guys in arty professions favoured at the time. It was in my possession waiting to deliver the watch to Cartier Canada to service mostly to gently buff the scratches off. My sis in law did not want the watch because it reminded her of the bad times. A few years after her husband passed, I had the watch serviced and buffed as much as possible returned the watch to her, she wears it daily never tells the story of its story to people who ask.
