“I MUST NOT BUY.

BUYING IS THE MIND-KILLER.

BUYING IS THE LITTLE-DEATH THAT BRINGS TOTAL OBSESSION.

I WILL FACE MY WALLET.

I WILL PERMIT IT TO PASS BY ME AND AWAY FROM ME.

AND WHEN IT HAS GONE PAST I WILL TURN THE INNER EYE TO SEE ITS PATH.

WHEN THE WALLET HAS GONE THERE WILL, BE NOTHING.

ONLY ANOTHER WATCH WILL REMAIN”

…...DANGIT! 🤦‍♂️

Wrist size?

How long have you owned it?

Pros?

Cons?

Thanks 🙂

·

Nicely done. We’re suggesting you might be human.

·

My god. The dial on your #grandseiko is unrivaled. Wear it well!

·

I’d buy it!

My wrist is 17.5 cm. I've had it for about six months now.

Pros? Well look at that dial! Power reserve on the back. A reasonable 37.5mm size is great for my wrist. The spring drive is satisfying to watch in action with the smooth second hand. It's light and slim as well, given it's a manual wind. Long power reserve too.

Cons: strap is a bit long for my wrist, and I can't adjust it to a perfect fit. Putting it on another strap worthy of this watch would be quite expensive though, it's 19mm lug width is a bit of a pain. It does pick up scratches though not as bad as some might say about GS. Then again I do baby it a bit 😅

It doesn't matter how you try to rationalize it. The compulsion will never go away. Ask me how I know. Haha. 😀

Give me your wallet I will buy it for you. 😂 😉 😜

·

How did that work out for you? 😂

·

It really is a stunning watch!

I’ve been using the fear is the mind-killer since I read that book in ‘74 (he croaked, in his ancient and rather wandering voice).

Speaking as someone who is trying desperately to find a way to buy a $50 watch my heart just bleeds for you……

You have a great selection, though.

·

Do you dare put your hand in this though?

Next time use the promo code CHOAM for 100 solaris off the retail price.

·

Bravo!

I can't keep it expensive, at least I can keep it interesting.

·

Too funny. And it’s beautiful.

·

To make you feel a bit better, Lake Suwa is not the most beautiful in the area, heavily populated and touristy 😁

I’d rather have a dial from this one😊

·

Is that the surface of Arrakis? Gotta hand it to GS.

May your credit card chip and shatter

Do people swim in Suwa? I was considering to swim across it, with the Suwa on my wrist.

Also - where is the second lake lake? Iwate as well?

I don't think it is prohibited but I wouldn't recommend it because the water looks dirty. Having said that, there is annual triathlon race there so water should be safe to human body, just looks dirty.

The second lake (or pond really) is Taisho-ike in Kamikochi. Both Lake Suwa and Taisho-ike are in Nagano (home of Spring Drive), not in Iwate (home of mechanical).

Resistance is futile. Just look at it!

It doesn't need to be. Think we all get hung up on trying to get a more expensive collection when there's interesting and lovely at all price points.

·

That's bought a tear to my eye .

·

I couldn't resist (and have no regrets).
