To many amazing chronographs but which would you pick?

Well I've decided my next watch will be another chronograph and have posted a few other polls with different chronos. My main collection has a Speedy 3861, Seamaster diver 300 white dial, GS SBGA413 and GS SBGN005. I'm definitely leaning towards the Zenith Chronomaster sport white dial but these two are pretty nice as well. My wrist size is 6.75"

The look I’d say is the most important thing between these two as let’s be honest who many times are you gonna be using the chronograph function, but I actually do to time things and the Tudor only can time up to 45mins were the Carrera times up to 12hrs. So for me it’s a no brainer + I like the look of it more also.

·

Thanks for the input. Yeah I like the Tag better but out of curiosity what would you time for 12hrs? I really don't use my chronos except for clicking them lol.

·

Ohhh though one!! I say get both!!

😂

·

Left field but my other Chronographs were getting a bit lonely so I bought this today, should get it in a couple of days. If you need to be accurate 😁

Absolutely not helpful, lol.

·

They are both awesome, but the Carrera is just a tad nicer, to me.

·

I’d personally go with the Carrera between these two. TH has a stronger history with chronos if you care about that (Monaco, Carrera, Autavia), and this current iteration is so clean. The new Chronomaster Sport with steel bezel and blue dial looks amazing tho

I think I'd be waiting for Watches and Wonders.

The Glassbox was a hero release for TAG/Heuer - I think they'll build on it and I think they'll follow up with something similar to but different from the Skipper as well.

Heuer have (imo) one of the best back catalogues of chronographs in the industry.

Do you think it may be worth waiting 6 or so weeks for their 2024 releases?

·

Okay, so here’s the thing…. I love bicompax far more than I do tricompax, however, there’s just something gorgeous and classic about that Glassbox.

There’s probably no way I’d pick the Tudor over the Tag in this particular case.

Also, I think for a wrist your size, the Carrera fits better, but that’s ultra subjective.

·

The Tudor seems a much bigger watch, what with its slab-sided case, extra height, and looong lug to lug.

I think the TH is a much classier looking fit!

·

Both too thick for my liking. Save for the Daytona or El Primero. If you don't mind the thickness: the Tudor.

·

I really am not going to be any help with this. I haven't been looking at anything in this price range. I am a huge chronograph fan though and have many of them. In this price range I'd be looking into a Formula 1 Tag Heuer.

I would choose the inventor of the chronograph. Longines

·

I’ve tried on the black carrera glass box and it fits so nicely on my 6.75” wrist. I love the color way, too. I am not sure about the date window at 12 o’clock for a chronograph, though, as the seconds hand will always obscure it when it’s not running. I think my OCD might get quite bothered by that. It’s a gorgeous watch, though. I thought I’d like the blue version better (I do like the blue’s running seconds sub dial), but the black reverse panda color way was more my cup of tea in person. Happy hunting!

I wish 😅

I like the TH, I prefer an hour counter.

·

Tag is really nice but with Speedy already in your collection I would rather go for bicompax Tudor. Without Speedy in portforlio I would say Tag.

The big eye chrono?

Probably the Spirit Flyback

How can you tell how many hours it can be timed up to? Sorry still trying to learn chronograph here

Have a look on my Carrera

Thanks! What is the difference between the hours sundial and the bottom middle dial? Are they both hours dial?

·

Hours counts up to 12 hours, the one in the middle is the regular seconds one , it’s the one you would have on a normal non chronograph watch, the seconds that I’ve marked in green only starts when you push the button to start timing stuff on the chronograph

·

I’m a fan of both brands but in this case there’s something about the TAG. It’s more sporty and the Tudor looks like a Daytona homage.

Lol Daytona is impossible to get unless you spend 10's of thousands a year and that's still not a guarantee. Right now at the top of my list is the Zenith Chronomaster sport white dial 😊

Yeah I think the Tudor is to big for me but it's really nice. The Tag will definitely fit better

Yeah that's a good idea to wait till W&W 🍻

The Zenith is head and shoulders above anything else in the same sphere imo, on wrist, movement quality and heritage … it's hard to beat.

Have you seen their recent Chronomaster triple date release?

Oh yeah the triple calender is great! Plus the new green dial and bezel on the chronomaster is pretty damn cool.

Good luck with the purchase - look forward to seeing what you get.

I really like Breitling Navitimer or Tudor with B01 Breitling movement
