Rolex Pepsi - Finally!
Unlike my previous adventure-laden story where I described in great detail the journey that was surprising my wife with her first "really nice watch" (the OP 36 Turquoise that was supposed to be for her birthday but I ended up just telling her about 4 months too early because C'MON!)...this story is fairly simple 😜
I never thought I'd ever own a Rolex Pepsi GMT-Master II. I hoped I would (some day) but there was always a lingering emotion of "yeah right"-ness to it given how often we actually see these pieces new in the wild. However, "never say never" has never rung more true! I have to give props once again to my AD who is the absolute BEST (once again) at making dreams come true 🥰
After 2 years of dreaming and hoping but not really ever expecting it to happen, I get a call. And it is in fact "the call" telling me a BLRO on Oyster Steel is waiting for me. And let me tell you, once again, driving to my AD at totally the posted speed limit I arrived with the quickness constantly mumbling "no, can't be, no...there's no way" all the way there! 🥳
I am so very happy and beyond excited to welcome my new Rolex GMT-Master II 126710 BLRO to my watch box! This community truly is the best community - thank you all for the messages you've already sent my way on Instagram. Y'all are the best 🙏

A dealer bought a cake and balloons, epic. Rolex AD purchases seem to be huge celebrations, I can't say I've ever had similar buying other brands!
Yeah, it was very cool. I got it in 2022. When I requested the watch in Jan '22, I told the lady I had gotten a big promotion and even more importantly, this year was 20 years with my wife, and I was requesting the Pepsi to commemorate our anniversary. Fast forward to October, I let the sales person know I'd be in town and I'd stop by to say hello. She's a really nice lady and we enjoy talking watches, so when I go to Vegas I always stop in. Anyway, I told her when I'd be there, and when I showed up they had an anniversary cake for our anniversary...and then they surprised me more with the Pepsi. Had NO idea they'd do either, I was just saying hello while my wife was getting ready for our anniversary dinner.
Instant memories tied to the watch. The whole weekend was awesome!

2 years is delayed gratification for sure and there's always the risk of 'moving on' and losing enthusiasm over such a time. But your patience paid off, a lovely classic watch and I'm sure you'll get many years of enjoyment from it.
