The SSC911 is so close to the SSC813 with minimal upgrades that it reminds of when apple comes out with a new iPhone that has just enough upgrades to Piss off the customers who bought the earlier version but not enough to want to purchase it.

A word of advice! Real Chronographs have mainly actual Pump or Rectangular pushers, with few exceptions. Just my two cents. 👊🏼😉

Hands and marker shapes are different too. I think I prefer the monochrome look. But I am not a chrono guy so please ignore me....

Wait, nobody’s actually surprised by this are they?  Seiko has like three diver cases and eleventy million dove models, so it should be clear they’ve been doing this for years. 
Also, it totally looks better with a red seconds hand. 

Other than the bezel color, no fauxtina, date wheel change, increase in diameter by 1.4mm, thinner by 0.3mm, lug-to-lug increase of only 0.4mm, change the hands design, and a red/changed shape sub-dial hand, they hardly changed a thing. Those lazy jerks! 😜

You guys…they changed to lambskin for a much more sensitive watch wearing experience. 

Also hesalite.  I keep seeing $100 watches with sapphire, but Seiko can't manage it unless they charge at least $500.

I always thought Seiko just jiggled the 62MAS case to fit a chrono, slap a bracelet and said 'done'.

Apart from cloning themselves it's also a virtual clone of a 2018 Omega CK2998 red second hand panda. I have the Omega but I can't call Seiko out for ripping the CK2998 off as Omega have done what so many have done and copied the Daytona, except they took the radical step of adding a red second hand. I like this new version better. Honestly!! I think the grey bezel makes a big difference 👌

Is it me, or would we all begushing if they did a #sunburst #yellow version with #pepsi #bezel (a la #pogue)? Or would that be more troublethan it is worth (considering the general disklike of #seiko's recent,reinterpretations? (Looking at you SPB149)😝

Lets see, same lame 24Hr indicator, same slightly less useless power reserve indicator, a date windows that manage to be both asymmetrical and now is even more skewed. Nope, it's not just you. 

Aww man...mine's already had the dial colour (if you're colour blind) but no pepsi dial. Wonder if we could mod that sucker.

I have to be honest. I love Seiko, but I cannot bring myself to buy these chronographs. Granted, they are solar, but I know what a VK63 costs in comparison. I know what cases and dials are available. 

That being said, I would still buy them if Seiko had yet another one of their great dials, but I just don't see it.

Am I missing something? If so, please convince me.

Red vinyl tape adds about 15 horsepower. Commonly known fact.
