Does it fit my wrist?

So I have been looking to buy this masterpiece for a while and one of the things that makes me wonder is if it fits my wrist? I kinda think that it does, but it is just in the very limit.

What you guys think?

The real question is, "Is it comfortable?"

  • Watches used to be tiny

  • Then they got really big

  • But, because they've become so much more robust and higher quality, they also got significantly heavier - 300M of WR will make the watch head super heavy

  • I have a Diameter 45.3mm, Lug-to-lug 52.6mm, Thickness 15.8mm watch... but because it's titanium, it's incredibly light and comfortable

  • Meanwhile, I've had a 42mm stainless steel watch that felt like a brick strapped to my wrist

In terms of looks, well, if you like it and think it looks like it "fits" then it fits!

·

In my opinion this fits your wrist yes!

On the other hand, screw my opinion! You think it does so go for it! The IWC big pilot does not fit my wrist but whenever my uncle comes over I ask to wear it the whole evening and I think I can pull it off.

If you love it, it wears nice then go for it😉

You are right man. Maybe I am too obsessed to understand if it fits. I for sure love it...

I think that this one is really comfortable for me. I was not able to test it with bracelet, then I could assume it will look more muscular with the bracelet.

What's your wrist size? I think that it really depends on preferences. On my case I am kind of short and big watches do look funky on me...

I have a 17mm wrist. Short? I’m 5’4”. I am SHORT.

The watch looks good on your wrist. Buy it. Wear it.

Naah I totally understand the struggle of not wanting to spend big on a watch that will ‘look too big’.

Id reccomend you also try on others as well. See whzt the effect of the bracelet is compared to the strap, see what you think of the BB in 41 compared to this bb58. Deffo try on the bb45 if you can as well! All that will give you more context as to what you find wearable on your wrist and help you make a decision.

And if in doubt, remember there are people wearing 50+ mil Invictas😉

·

Yes, looks fine!

·

I think it looks good!

Also, I have to agree with all of the comments here and what @HotWatchChick69 says is absolutely true.

I have a field watch that is arguably too big for my wrist but I love it. It’s easy to read and comfortable to wear. And then I put it on a double pass NATO which made it even bigger and love it even more. The chunky look, comfortable wear and versatility make it one of my “go to’s”.

Your watch journey is yours and only yours. Wear what you love!

I don’t get the whole fit my wrist thing. I’ve seen some ladies’ wrists that unfortunately can’t accommodate larger watches - but I’ve never really seen a male wrist that looks wrong with a 40-42mm. This looks great on you, wear it in good health.

·

Looks okay from the photo. The most important question is whether YOU feel it looks big when you wear it.

Yeah you get the point. I am selling big part of my collection to buy this one and just want to see what other think but I think the vox populi is clear: wear what you like!

The other option is the Longines Spirit 37mm which is spectacular. I went to my local AD but they only have the 40mm and it is quite big for my wrist. The other one is the bb36, but it was quite little... I believe this bb58 is nice!

And yes, those 50mm invictas are good to put things in perspective 😂

·

Great advice! Happened this to me with my Hamilton Khakhi Scuba... Bought it as a first watch but I was doubtful 🧐 It never got out of my mind and ended selling it

·

Looks fine on you, how's the thickness

Super hard to judge watch size in close up photos.

If the obvious thing are right (no lugs overhanging, no strange gaps) the best way I found is to look into a full body mirror or have someone take a photo of you and see how it looks.

·

It is about the lug to lug length rather than the diameter.

·

I think it is fine.

·

Yep, it fits, but looks, as you say, to be right at the limit.

But, as I said to a young lady who asked if I like her new watch. She weighs about 90 lbs. soaking wet, and has very thin wrists, as Jenni Elle says, the Itty Bitty Wrist Committee. I said it was way too big for her wrist. She answered, "I like it like that". I said, then ignore me and my dumbassed opinion. That's what I say to you, ignore anyone else's opinions, it's all about what you think of the fit.

If that was my wrist, I'd feel like it was really pushing my limits. But do I own and enjoy watches that do just that? Yep!

If it's important for you to follow the somewhat shifting rules of the correct watch scale, that's valid. I mostly consider this factor, personally. But if the watch truly speaks to you, then arguably that would take priority. One thing I'd ask myself is whether my desire for a brand/model really trumps my ability to buy something I might later regret. For me, Tudor is a significant reach budgetwise, so I'd want there to be zero question whether it looks effortless on me.

totally man! spending this much on a watch is something you have to think about.

And yes, Tudor is quite a milestone!

Cheers dude

I may be too late to add my two cents If you are actually concerned with the "look" of the fit, yes, it looks a bit large, especially now that watches are trending a bit smaller. If the look of the fit is secondary and it's comfortable then it might be a good choice for you. However, since you've stated that this will be a significant investment for you I think it's wise to move slowly. It's not like you're buying $200 quartz piece (no offence, I own plenty). Try to think about whether or not you will be happy with it in a year from now.

This whole 36mm trend is just everywhere. I will take it slowly as I have experienced some repentance with some watches in the past and as you said, you dont spend that amount everyday.

Btw I don´t prefer quartz but there are some awesome timepieces!

I've stopped a long time ago thinking what would other people think, large or tiny. What really matters is your own perception. It's your wrist that is gonna rock it anyways. If you think it looks good on you and you are comfortable with the watch, i'd say go for it! 😊

Time to pull the trigger 💸🤯

·

Short answer: Yes.

·

On my 6.5" wrist I wear 36mm Rolex Explorer two tone, Panerai Luminor 44mm, G-shock Mudmaster 56mm, Submariner 40mm, I love them huge and small..

That Tudor is definitely not too big... It's one of the cooler Black Bay's, I like the ceramic blacked out one too... Did you try the Black Bay 36's, some of those are really nice also very affordable

Did you try on the BB54 ? Just curious!

·

A stunner, seriously, looks fantastic on you! The Tudor 925 is the first Tudor I'd buy (and definitely on "the list")

·

Looks a bit big. I also have a small wrist and ended up sadly not buying this very watch because of that. Look at the BB58 39mm size

·

Buy it. If you love it, just buy it.
