Watch Thirst Trap

In the past week trolling through eBay, sellers made me offers on a couple of watches I’ve been eyeing for some pretty good prices. Why must you tempt me?

I’ve controlled my urges to buy thus far.

Have you encountered these situations and what did you do? Send help.

There is no known treatment as far as I know, I‘m afraid! You have to give in…

Prevention is the cure...

Don't browse eBay if you're not in purchase mode.

·

Change the name and icon of the eBay app to something you don't like opening to prevent you opening it and block to site on your browser! Then unblock and change app back when you are ready to spend 🙃

·

Stay strong my friend,I didn't make a pact not to buy, maybe next year 🙄😂

·

Don't poke the bear!!!

·

I found out that I still thirst for a Visitor Duneshore Shallows. Unfortunately, the company doesn't deliver to Malaysia. 😔

·

Toppers is my drug as of late… I browse there and I end up getting a new watch… alas I have no cure for you buddy!! 😞

·

Have anxiety from private sellers and international shipping.

·

You've been proposed on e-bay? Well, that's a new one for sure.

Oh, wait...you mean watches? sorry man, I let my mind wander into a completely different direction, my bad.

·

I just try to distract myself with other things and stay off eBay on my computer. But mainly I regulate 90% of wristwatch purchases through my wishlist and regularly giving it a hard look. I got rid of a few slots I had lingering around for a while last night. Felt good

·

It's so hard to avoid esp when I have notifications enabled. But still i let at least 2 zodiac go by unpurchased!

·

MAN….

I’ve already accepted 4 eBay offers this year.

Nothing like aversion therapy. Associate wristwatches with shock collars…

True, I was tagging items to see what a good price for them would be as I'll be heading to Tokyo in a month.

Oh man - in Tokyo your willpower will melt like butta

So delayed gratification now might make trip more gratifying?

Or, delay will make you go overboard overseas, and in then crush budget worse than expecting …

Hmm, not helpful me! 🙂

I ordered a new watch yesterday, since I’m not in Japan until July, that amount of delay is hopeless

People trying to separate us from our money...deviousness😂

It's working, too😂

·

I succumb…. 🤣😂😂

Recite this affirmation:

“I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, I have enough watches to be satisfied!”

I just sold on my GBD200 it's a great watch but my slightly smaller wrist I noticed it wasn't as comfortable as I first thought. Wore it less and less, ended up wearing it just because I hadn't worn it in a while so off it went

I put it on a nylon strap which is fun
