NWA - Japan Edition Revealed

After teasing y’all this earlier today and receiving some hilarious and borderline NSFW comments (love it BTW), I’m proud to announce the addition of not one, but two, watches to my collection.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra - Ref. 220.10.41.21.06.001. The AT has long been on my list and it’s finally come true.

Image

Grand Seiko SBGJ013 - this one caught me offguard and being in Japan, I had to snap it up. Traveler GMT, titanium, immaculate condition and finishing. The gold GMT got me.

Here’s the two of them side by side. Guess the Engineer in me loves lines on the dials 🤣

I will post more pictures when I am back home. For now, they’re locked up in luggage as we’re moving hotels tomorrow morning.

That didn’t stop me from taking the Aqua Terra out for a little post purchase celebration.

Both watches courtesy of the legendary Jack Road and Betty in Nakano Broadway.

Japan is a wonderful place for watch enthusiasts but terrible for your pocket book. This is a special trip with friends and family and needed some worthy pieces to bring home.

·

Japan has been great. I’ll recap all the high and lowlights in another post. Already told my wife we’re coming back.

Good eye and knowledge. My first titanium watch and it wears like a dream.

It’s pretty surreal. It was a great low pressure buying experience. It was raining today and I was in joggers and a rain jacket with my Casio and walked out with 2 watches and felt no judgement from the shop staff.

Very nice acquisitions, my friend. Especially the Aqua Terra. Boy, ain't it just cool!

It is very cool indeed

·

Congratulations (on both the trip and the stunning watches)! Absolutely love the blue hands on the AT and the AT like lines on the GMT! That GMT is similar (at least in style and branding) to one I will sell off sometime this year (the maroon SBGJ021), and seeing yours makes me question my decision LOL.

·

I loooove these watches my man!! Such elegance and I say that with all the wonder of how they actually look irl!!

·

Dude! Japanese vacation, Wagu, TWO iconic watches... I need to become an engineer because apparently that's where the ballers are workin'

Congrats on 2 Cracker Jacks! Those are fantastic!

Haha, yeah I’ve been working for a long time and this is the first big international trip. Was reminded on a daily to treat myself

I'm totally jealous. But I'm happy for you. It looks AMAZING.

I can understand that. I’d consider moving here.

I would probably move back there if given the chance. I spent 4 years living in Tokyo, it was pure joy

I’m thinking about picking up a rubber strap for it actually. Is that the OEM blue strap you have? I’m debating going OEM or something like an Artem sailcloth.

Interesting. Mine is OEM rubber and I love it. But I'm about to pull the trigger on an Artem grey sailcloth as a color alternative.

·

Congratulations 🎊 just perfection!!!!!

Oh yes…Mecca itself.

Jack road is where I bought my first luxury watch (for me, it was the biggest purchase in my life at the time, a Seiko Marine Master SBDB0009 tuna spring drive). It's a special place. So many watches on display it's nuts. I highly recommend it to anybody visiting Japan.

I went to a lot of watch shops in Japan when I was visiting, Jack Road was the one I remember and would go back to

Yes there were so many watch shops at Nakano Broadway but Jack Road was the most welcoming.
