Chronographs with higher water resistance?

Looking for suggestions for water ready chronos that are not Tudor, Omega, Rolex (bc I don’t like their design language generally). And I guess bonus for an integrated tachymeter instead of the typical bezel. WR doesn't need to be crazy just more vacation appropriate if I do go in the pool etc.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a serious WR on a chronograph with a tachymeter. There is no purpose to having a dive watch with a tachymeter bezel. I’m sure you can find them with 100m wr, and maybe 200 if it’s just overbuilt but I don’t know when you would use a tachymeter bezel on a dive.

Not looking for a diver chrono by any means . . . 100m is plenty. Nobody needs 200 even for divers . . . but that's another argument haha. Just wanted to see what the options are for anything above 5atm so the chrono is a bit more vacation friendly. The only one that immediately comes to mind is Hamilton Intramatic.

How about a Sinn 144. WR is 20 bar, features an inner tachy/pulse bezel and looks awesome.

Most chronos are pool and shower friendly. As long as you aren’t operating the pushers under water you should be fine. I’ve owned several quartz Seiko chronos back in highschool and college. Back then I’d wear a watch 24/7. Sleeping, showers, hot tubs, etc. I never had one fail, and I was pretty rough on them.

Seiko does a whole bunch with 100m WR & internal tachy. Inexpensive to boot.

I've got a Bulova Surfboard coming to me this Christmas, which has 200m water resistance. Also has a tachymeter and countdown timing bezel.

Breitling Chronomat 😌 normally 20 atm 😬

·

I believe any variant of the Sinn 103 is 200m WR

other alternative: go explore the Fortis website. you'll find this (Flieger f-43) and other high quality chronos.

Only a diver chrono would have a water Resistant of 200 m or more, screw down crown, the racing style chronos at the most are 100m and push pull crown (only the Black Bay Heritage Chrono or the current Black Bay chrono Panda and Panda Reverso are 200m)

What movement did you use?

VK63 Seiko.

Zodiac Sea-Chron - 200m WR

I'd guess a zodiac or a doxa?

·

Lookup "@ waterproofmoonwatch" on IG. If 50m WR on a speedy is enough for most recreational snorkelers & low-depth diving, 100m and even 200m is more than plenty

·

My B&R has an impressive 200m with fixed tachometer but tbh I wouldn’t put anything with pushers in the water.

Wait? You’re a Chrono fan but you don’t like the design language of Rolex and Omega?

·

Bulova Sea King or Precionist are excellent choices. Look great, accurate, solidly built

Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion ..I see that you are rather new here to our little 'show and tell' and im sure you will figure out we seem to keep our negative opinions to ourself.Besides I was answering the OP ... This isnt Reddit...Anyway welcome and just enjoy the hobby..

The Japanese have Dive style Chronographs. Seiko, Orient, Citizen. 🥳

I would say they’re more an acquired taste. The thing that really bothers me on any Tudor is the shield logo. This thing looks like a stupid smiley face which, once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee.

I think the wonderful Hanhart 417 has 100m of resistance and is an absolute fox
