What would you buy "Steel or Gold" ?

I had the opportunity to get one of these beauties and I was just wondering if you were offered one of these watches for free, and as long as you kept it, which one would you go for?

Would this watch be a daily watch or dress watch for weddings and other occasions ?

It's good to know how other people view luxury watches.

Just love the steel one, would go for it every time.😀

·

I’d love the shit out of the steel.

·

Definitely the steel for me 👍 I think if the bezel on the gold one was a contrasting colour I would have a bit more love for it

·

Got to say steel.

·

im a sucker for steel

·

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but gold.

The star of that watch is the dial and the non-contrasting bezel makes it pop more than the black bezel on the steel, IMO

·

Steel gets my vote

·

Gold

·

Surprisingly, I would choose the steel.

·

I like gold, but steel in this case. Versatile 👌

·

I would choose steel over gold as it is more wearable to any dress and occassion - thus more opportunity to wear

·

I would definitely date the gold so hard and marry the sh*t out of the steel. More universal to dress up or down as many have already said.

·

Steel. I scratch my watch on every surface I run into, it seems. So yeah, no way am I leaving gold around wherever I go.

·

Hey boys...we've all got a bunch of steel watches. If "they" are giving me this, I'm absolutely going for that gold version. it's one of the few all gold watches that don't seem to scream "I'M GOLD" at you. Both are stunning though.

·

I’d go for the steel for sure, and it would be part of the daily rotation, not just for special occasions.

I agree 💯 I’m looking forward to getting a call from my AD for an Everose Daytona but in the meantime I accepted the offer of an Everose Yacht-Master 40 on OysterFlex and I love how it straddles the line between sporty and dressy. Too bad Rolex doesn’t make the full gold Daytona‘s with the Cerachrom bezel. You have to choose between the OysterFlex with ceramic bezel or full gold bracelet and gold bezel that will get scratched. Perhaps this isn’t an issue for most? 🤷‍♂️

choices , choices, choices Only if Rolex AD would call 😭

DEFINITELY the stainless steel one - absolutely stunning, gorgeous watch! I wouldn't wear daily though - I feel when I'm wearing a suit for work or a nice party this would be perfect 👌🏼

when you have stainless steel watch. only people who know about watches will know what you have on you wrist.

Steel. For me, gold has to be done in moderation. Gold 36mm Datejust or DayDate, bracelet or leather strap = I'm here for that. Gold AP Royal Oak (in my wildest dreams) = no thanks. Very shouty.

You have to have a few different watches for different occasions. Some times i just feel like putting on a Gold watch or if it a wedding or party, but for daily life steel the way to go.

It is, because I usually do not like gold, but that dial on gold is just niiiiice.

Yep Zenith do go the extra mile with the dials on their watches. Trapezoid shape and the Star make the Gold sparkle.

It would be steel for me. Partly because I prefer the steel version but more importantly due to budget constraints.
🍻

You can buy it on credit. I was going to pay cash but when they offer zero APR. It was a done deal...lol 🤣

·

I like both so if the black comes a long I would consider add it to the collection 😂

Steel

·

I’ll go for the gold. 🏆🏅

·

Steel 10 times of 10

I wouldn't mind the gold one but since I have to keep it I would take the steel one unless the gold one was solid gold. The gold will wear off over time in spots making it look cheap. The steel one you can wear every day or as a dress watch. It's more diverse.

I think Zenith uses solid metals = no gold plating
