I know, unfortunately I'm quite undecisive and end up asking people to help me decide.

Sometimes they see things that don't look correct or even share their experiences with said items.

Not only divers but all styles, which makes people willing to look at budget alternatives like in the 62MAS, especially from chinese makers and I completely understand that, especially if those brand can offer good products at competitive prices with workhorse movements that are even even cheap to replace in case of catastrophic failure.

I'm glad you are enjoying your purchase and I hope it lasts many years before you replace it.

The watch looks good, I'm with you on the Seiko boat offering the same QC issues or the same quality whilst increasing in price. Here where I live you cannot get a 5Sports for less than 300$ and the most basic diver is at least double in price.

While the San Martin might not have the same popularity and reputation as Seiko, I understand the thought of getting one over the other especially at the ridiculously expensive price of 4000$.

I also like to offer you an alternative to the 62MAS, the Aquastar Model 60 Re-edition which is a quarter of the price asked by Seiko. If you are insecure about the water resistance, for a few dollar a decent watchmaker will be capable of testing it and even make it actually water resistant if needed.

If you are willing to go a bit over your budget there is Marathon SAR line which is their dive watches and Certina DS líne, if not Citizen Promaster line are around your maximum budget. All of these are available at different retailers including Amazon so you could look for discounts and are ISO 6425 certified.

By the way if you live in North America Marathon is doing a Labor Day discount on their watches,

I had tried already, I'm just breaking in the leather strap.

Should try a tropic strap to see if it goes well with it

I also like the design of the Aquastar, they could have gone for applied indices instead of printed Lume and also brighter Superluminova. I just wish more brands offered that same case design with similar size, unfortunately not a lot of options at least this one has some history going for it
