Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I bought it with my first ever paycheck, as I was looking for a cheap Casio in case I didn't like watches but decided to go a bit beyond and buy the A1000 for that stainless steel case typical of the 80s and 90s Casio.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don't buy something expensive just because someone is wearing it or has recommended it to you, hold your horses, take your time and go for something less expensive. In the end if you like watches, then go in for something that you want or take a bit more time and develop your taste.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Armitron, Hamilton, Momentum and some homebrew brands.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don't have a grail watch per se, as I seen then as tools so whatever I buy fulfills a function weather it be a beater, dress, casual, diver, exploration.
But if I have to choose one it would be either a Bulova Accutron Spaceview (1960s model) or a reissue in the same size because of the quirkiness or an Elgin which my grandfather used to have.
