Certainly the best configuration of a standard date, even just colour matched goes a long way.
Personally I’m not a big fan of the moon arrow thingy on a lot of pointer dates, but when done well they look amazing and unique.
I usually quite enjoy their design language but this one seams a bit un-cohesive to me. The date window especially looks like an afterthought.
So not really my style this one but cool seeing them do a gmt.
Swatch had some plastic dive watches, the Swatch Scuba Libre, that were rated up to 200m about a decade ago so it's definitely a possibility. I think it would be some good publicity for a somewhat underrated watch and brand. Although having their best Fifty Phantom's models not be limited edition would be even better publicity...
I think there are a lot of pvd black watches that wear very well when the sharp edges get exposed. As for gold tone pvd I’m a bit more hesitant, both because they don’t age as well and because the colour is hard to get right.
Are you looking at a PVD-coating for the gold options, a gold plating or full gold? Personally I'm leaning towards yellow gold, but bronze is also a very interesting choice, especially if it's tied in to the Nikola Tesla story of the watch with maybe some purple/pink accents as a reference to the Tesla coil.
