Bronze, Yellow Gold or Rose Gold?

Dear all,

As we gear up to begin production of the 369 prototypes, we'd like to involve you in a significant decision. In addition to the classic stainless steel case, we're considering offering another option: Bronze, Gold or Rose Gold and we'd like to know which one resonates most with you.

Option 1: Yellow Gold (PVD Coated)

Option 2: Rose Gold (PVD Coated)

Option 3: Bronze

Your input matters greatly to us. Thanks for participating and feel free to share any thoughts you have in the comments below.

I'm leaning towards bronze. Just my personal preference, no real reasoning behind it.

Are you looking at a PVD-coating for the gold options, a gold plating or full gold? Personally I'm leaning towards yellow gold, but bronze is also a very interesting choice, especially if it's tied in to the Nikola Tesla story of the watch with maybe some purple/pink accents as a reference to the Tesla coil.

Rose gold I think. Gold is too loud and I’m not into bronze.

For the gold options, PVD coating, full gold maybe in the future. This connection with the Tesla coil is great, THANK you! 🙏

I'm a sucker for rose gold, it's the classiest of the 3.

·

I'd go yellow gold first, then bronze then rose gold.

I think I'd have to see a picture of the rose gold, but if it's going to be both the case and the dial, I think that may be a bit overwhelming.

The white and gold in the picture is beautiful!

Thanks for your feedback, we will consider Titanium. 🙏

You’re awesome Marcus! And you’ve got a great design, ultimately it will look good in any color/material 👌🏻

I think gold/rose gold are the way to go for this dressy looking piece.

Bronze would be nice but imo the style would clash with the patina

However as noted imo pure cases are better than pvd imo. All good options with pros and cons

Good point, thanks! 🙏

It looks very interesting. I would go for bronze. But why call it 369 without numbers on the dial??

I don't like pvd coatings on watch cases.

It's fake in my opinion. Gold tone, not even actual gold, is the worst.

If you want a yellow-ish case, go for bronze.

Thanks for your observation. Our design philosophy revolves around simplicity and minimalism, we like uncluttered dials and that's why the 369 is printed on the inner side of the flat crystal on the case back. We believe that elegance lies in the uncomplicated, and beauty is found in the understated. Each element of our creations is thoughtfully curated to embody this essence.

Probably the bronze. But I wonder how well the dial and case will suit as the bronze begins to age.

Also. I only recently came across your TV dial watch from last year? and I have to say they are absolutely gorgeous and like nothing I own.

I'll likely be sourcing one out before too long.

Congratulations on your designs and execution.

I would go with the bronze first for its natural metal glory however patina might get the better of it. PVD coated yellow gold is okay since the case is mostly brushed so it’s the second best. PVD rose gold would look like unnaturally mimicking copper to me so that would be last. Hope that makes sense.

·

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. Re the material ageing that's a really good question, we will consider that. Möels & Co. was founded by my daughter Betina, while she was an undergraduate architecture student at Westminster University in London. She was just 19 years old, at 23 she is gearing up for her next Kickstarter campaign. For more info about the 369 launch www.moelsandco.com or here www.instagram.com/moelsandco
