I just couldn’t resist buying this

Is it weird? Yes. Is it wonderful? I think so yeah!

The Softwatch by Exaequo is certainly a unique watch. Not that great to tell the time but who cares about what time it is when you’re wearing this anyway.

Some might say it’s a Cartier Crash rip-off but I think it has enough of a story to stand on it’s own. After selling the smaller ladies version, I just kept coming back to it and had to purchase the bigger version. And I must say it’s super comfortable on wrist and looks a little smaller than the photo might suggest.

What do you think? Is this something you’d rock from time to time or do you think it’s just plain weird?

I would full-on wear it…with relish. What a great watch!

·

It’s different. It’s interesting. I probably wouldn’t buy it for myself, but if it was gifted I’d keep it.

·

It hurts my brain... But it only matter that you love it.

·

Weird and wonderful.

·

Even more Dali-esque than the Crash!

·

I think it looks great on you and I automatically love it because it's so unusual.

I remember your post and inadvertently buying the smaller version. Are you happier with the bigger one?

·

Looks like something Salvador Dali would wear!

Yeah way happier with this one. The case has a little bit of a curve and the bigger version follows te curve of my wrist instead of sitting on top of it.

I’m glad I made the decision to buy this one.

What are the....hmmm...dimensions?🤣

·

Different is good. I like it.

Cheers!

I love it! It's true that it is even more Daliesque than Crash, a pure soft-watch made real. And it looks like a jewel-watch too, which is nice for men (not only reserved to women). Enjoy it very much!! And prepare conversations, because this is an absolute starter.

·

I think it looks fantastic!

If it was gifted to me, it would go in my dresser drawer, and I would only wear it on occasions when I knew the gifter would be present.

It's not that I "hate" it, it's just that I am a pragmatist at heart, when it comes to stuff like this. If I can't read the time, it bothers me.

As a piece of art, it's lovely. But if I have a choice of wearing this, and wearing a watch that I can read the time on, I will choose the timepiece every time.

Your mileage may vary. 😎

I’ve got one as well. A weird but wonderful watch.

·

I like it. I'd wear it on occasions when I really didn't care if I could tell what time it is. Since I'm retired that would be most of the time.

Interesting watch and backstory, but probably not for me. But you enjoy it!

·

100% would wear it. No rules when it comes to watch collecting when you are involved in this weird, wonderful, addicting, expensive and time crushing hobby. lol

·

I would have tried harder

·

The John Merrick of watches.

Chacon a son gout.

·

Dali esk for certain exactly like the painting actually:) cool and trippy

·

Salvador Dali painted this watch in one of his works . He was from art nouveau movement initially. Then did Hironimus Bosch style trippy LSD inspired works of art .

·

Salvador Dali, called asking if anyone had seen his watch . . . 😜

·

Definitely homaging the Crash great alternative. Wear what you like👌🏽

·

As a fan of Dali, and generally all things weird, I would ABSOLUTELY wear that!!! Awesome watch!

·

makes me Dali-ish dizzy
