My closest to a grail so far…
I’ve been waiting months for this. My Christopher Ward C1 Moonphase has finally arrived. As an amature astronomy fan, this speaks volumes to me. I’ve been looking for a moonphase watch for a long time that I thought did it justice. This was the first time I saw one that I thought did. It looks SOOO much better in person than I can photograph and the lume is gorgeous.
This is a belated birthday gift from my hubby @JonInAtl. He struck gold! To be clear, he ordered it before my birthday, told me about it on my birthday, but it was only released last week (after my birthday). 😊

This is really the only CW I like but for some reason, the dial layers look somewhat cheap? Maybe you can reiterate your experience with it.

I had a similar thought from online pictures, but in person it seems much less noticeable to me. One definitely see it when the light hits it just right, but most of the time it’s just not that visible.

Its design is completely perfect as your attention is drawn to the most important part of the watch…., the moon, no fiddly indices etc!
