An Interesting Weekend thought ?

The topic of growing tired or bored  or a watch comes up quiet often in our little slice if heaven here at WC , and the most common advice I see is to change the strap to breath some new life into the watch...But ...has anyone ever tired updating there wardrobe ?

I say this as I remember my first luxury watch purchase and wanting to dress up a bit more.

Thoughts? Ideas? perspective's welcome :)

Stay catfancy

I’ve found myself doing the same to a degree. Also glasses. I got a new pair of Clubmasters last year, and that also had an unexpected effect on my wardrobe choices.

That said, I do like the juxtaposition of wearing a Tudor watch and Cannibal Corpse t-shirt at the same time.

There is indeed a stoner metal band called Cannabis Corpse!

·

Upgrading the wardrobe just takes money out of my watch fund tho. 😂😉

·

Indeed, bought a couple of t-shirts and glasses to go with my daily watches.

·

I need things to match samewhat. But I don't know if new clothes would help if was tired of a watch 🤔 Maybe some roleplay with the old lady would help?

you going to be he Rolex AD with only one way to move up the waiting list 😂😂😂😂

·

I have bought waaaay too many straps during the last few months, but I haven't bought any clothes to match any of my watches.

I can consider getting a Rolex hat to use while I'm wearing my vintage Datejust, that way I can be the ultimate jerk. What do you guys think? 🤔

My wardrobe is something I literally couldn't care less about. My wife is always asking me to get rid of my old t-shirts just because they have a few holes. I'm pretty sure I don't own a suit or a pair of dress shoes at the moment. The last time I had to dress up, I had traveled out of town for an event, and my shoes literally fell apart at the event, leaving chunks of the soles all over the floor (that people initially thought were dog turds). I was also wearing a pair of makeshift socks that I hastily fashioned that morning from a pair of black panty hose purchased at a gas station and cut with a pocket knife to resemble dress socks.

So, no, I don't dress my watch up through my wardrobe.

Variety and creativity is the stuff we human beings have been made for. We like changing things up in new ways. Yet, amidst the available creative varieties, sooner or later, only a few will resonate deeply and remain. We embrace a style, and specific qualities of a watch, that we can call our own. And, to each his own. Preferences and fancies ebb and flow like seasons, and do change over time with age. But in the end, we become content, and we enjoy, appreciate, and are delighted with what we have. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

I'm always switching between bracelets, leather straps/natos every month or so to keep my watches in that honeymoon phase!

·

I can’t afford any new clothes because I spent all my money on watches!!!

We all know this feeling lol having to tell my mates I wasnt going out for a few months so I could buy a watch was funny, thank god a few of them are watch folk lol

·

I have this feeling about every couple of months, thinking "oh yeah I want to look a bit more swank" then i watch one of those mens fashion youtubers for about 5 minutes, realise they're all pretentious nobheads who need to find out what real life is, then I go and buy some more cargo trousers. Cargo trousers, combat boots and plain black tee. That's all I need

They do make a nice boot. I'm an Altberg man myself. Picked a pair up from my army surplus store a few months back and I'm a convert now for life

🤘🤘🤘 Long Live Chuck!

Well actually I've kinda been dressing down more lately, to match the sports watches' aesthetics 😂

·

As I spend most of my time at work, unfortunately not much goes with my orange uniform, except maybe a orange strap on one of my divers 🤣

You would look just fine with the right watch and nothing else, LOL

Chuck was actually a very dear friend. My old band back in the late 80s early 90s played with Death whenever Chuck would actually make it for a tour. One of the most humble dudes I ever knew. RIP

He was my entry point into real metal, specifically Spiritual Healing. What a legend, and from everything I’ve heard it does seem like he was the best dude.

What band were you in? If you played with Death, there’s a solid chance that I’ve heard of you.

It was a small band from OC called Act Of Rage. We played fastcore......like early Napalm Death kind of stuff. We weren't around very long
