Gold watches, with Gold bracelets?

Do you sometimes feel to flashy or showy wearing a gold or gold plated watch?

Whenever I wear my gold Casio with a black bracelet, my rosegold and black Chenxi, my gold With brown leather band Citizen or my gold and steel two tone Seiko I never think about how it might appear.

Now I'm wearing a gold watch with a gold bracelet and it feels really showy, but also awesome. It's gold plated and affordable (an Invicta), but even thought my MoonSwatch cost me more and is more valuable, this Invicta makes me think about when I can't wear it (i.e. Business meetings, client calls, etc...).

Not my style but if it puts a smile on your face then go for it. Time goes too quickly to worry about what others think 👍🏻

No one cares sounds harsh, but the reason I selected it is because you should just do want you want and wear what you like. Subjective opinions other than your own shouldn’t influence you.

This used to be very normal. When did we all become prudes?

I love my gold watches. One thing I realized is that a smaller gold watch looks bigger than a larger stainless steel watch.

My 35mm PRX looks larger than my 35mm stainless steel PRX.

They just stand out more.

As i just have my 5040PG with anything like gold (display) i cannot say anything qualified

IMO, gold should be an accent color, not the main show.

Of course, I'm not the rule maker; so if someone enjoys an all gold piece, more power to them.

I just hope they know how to keep themselves & their watch safe.

A gold watch adds a touch of elegance to any wardrobe.

Unless the whole watch including the bracelet is in gold, then I would feel flashy. Otherwise, with a fabric, a rubber or leather strap, I won't feel as much . It gives me that warm feeling. Well only watch enthusiasts would care and looking at everyone's wrists. Unless it's jewellery or Rolex/higher tier, most people would already assume the watch you're wearing is gold-plated. Wont attract too much attention.

Never thought of it that way. I never assumed anything about anyone's gold jewelry. I just know that it stands out more than silver or steel. Good point though!

Try a gold watch with a gold mesh bracelet. You’ll feel like Tony Montana

If you'd asked me as recently as 5 years ago it would have been a hard NO. Roll on to today and most of the watches I'm after are gold in some way or form.

Embrace the gold! 👍

I don't wear my PRX as much as I thought I would, hence selling it. It is lovely though!

Hard to pick the answer, I like gold watches, but for me the gold bracelet puts it over the top. Also, I’m generally not a fan of heavy watches, so put me down fro gold with leather or rubber.

If you don't wear it, sell it, that my rule as well.

I could never wear gold myself. No, never. The thought of it has never even entered my mind. 😎

That Daytona is the perfect combination of gold in my opinion 👌🏽🥇

And the Porsche Design is great as well! 👏

I love how some folks are posting their gold watches. It's great seeing them and makes me feel more comfortable wearing mine. 😍

I agree about the Daytona. As I’ve said before, I actually prefer the OysterFlex over the full gold bracelet version. The contrast with the black ceramic bezel makes it look so better IMHO. Cheers 🍻

Gold is fun, particularly when combined with my oldest and most wornout casual clothes.

If the gold bracelet is too much then some brown leather can tone things down.

Yes, you have to realize that you are worthy. Some are insecure or just not worthy.

To answer the question: Yes. Rarely but sometimes. It's kind of moot for me as this only applies to one vintage watch of mine that is already relegated to more genteel days.

It is more of a statement than a timepiece IMO.

I feel like I'm fast approaching my genteel days, which may well account for the recent draw to precious metal watches.

I only have 1 but it only has with touches of gold on it (18k). The crown and the ring around the case of the watch. I dont think there is any in the dial.

don't mind a classy gold watch, but I'm not sure I've use one as a #divewatch
