I think if you change the strap to a leather one, it could have a completely different "feel".

Nylon strap combined with orange-black "tactical look" makes it look a bit as a "toy" unfortunately, so I understand what your wife meant.

If you are not feeling it as well, now it's the best time to return it.

I think it is the band that makes it look like a kids watch. Put it on an all black nato strap that has pvd hardware. I think that would toughen up the look!

I'm a wife and I think it looks great. 👌 A leather band would be a nice option if you want to dress it up a bit, but not necessary. Now if only I could get my husband interested in all this watch stuff... 😁

Smart decision. That’s why I take my wife with me when watch shopping. She has veto power. That being said, she talked me into splurging on a Datejust and convinced me the black bay with the burgundy bezel looked great on me!

Try different kinds of nylon and leather straps, as well as Black bracelets of all sorts. It'll look smashing.
