I'm still new but I appreciate watches that are mechanically and aesthetically well crafted. Today any smartphone will most defenitely outvalue any watch in terms of functionality, so what is left is aesthetics. Good dial designs (matching, or well contrasted colors, shapes and sizes) catch my attention
