When can you have too many?

So!!!! I became a father again 3 days ago and have dropped YouTube tools down for a few days to to help ease the little one into the world!

Obviously I’ve been wearing watches and working out all the future shows to come when I get back to!

But opening the third watch box here I asked myself “when do you have too many watches? “

Now for me if I do t wear a watch for 2 months it probably means I don’t love it enough to keep it!

However!!! A part of me loves to keeps some watch because even though I may not wear them, I like holding them, winding them and just feeling chuffed that I managed to bag one! Case in point the Fortis! I’ve decided to let this go and have made the decision to let a lot of these go!

But they are sooooo cool!!!

Anyway enjoy this selection WATCHCRUNCHERS!!!

If you love em keep em simple as that my friend!

That's your THIRD watch box? Wow.

·

Anyway, love how we have the same grey Kamasu, man. Good choice 🍻

As a minimalist I feel inclined to say if it doesn't spark joy let it go

HOWEVER

Watches are a big part of your life and business, so if anyone has an excuse...

That’s exactly the talk I give the wife!!

1st, congratulations to you & your family! Wishing good health & good fortune to you all.

2nd, thanks so much for the outstanding content on your channel. Always entertaining & always informative.

3rd, I don't understand what "too many" means.....I mean, I see the words of course.....😜

·

Enjoy in good health….

·

Big congrats!🎉 Enjoy the time while you adjust to the new addition to your collection, er I mean family.

·

Two is too many, so why even count 🤔 Congratulations on the member of the family 🥳 It's a strange and wonderful sometimes.

Also we can see the reflection of your 🌭 in the watchbox lid FYI. Thanks....

·

Congratulations on the newborn Russell! Hope everyone is doing well at home.

It's the first time I'm seeing a Kamasu on an integrated rubber strap. That's a pretty good look for this case!

·

Congratulations are in order, third time lucky I presume keep up the good work, good health and more. I guess you have an excuse for hoarding one could even say that you have a semi-professional reason which is even better. At the end of the day, if what you are looking for is redemption, sorry at WC you will probably only get confirmation bias, this is a great collection though, I wouldn't mind seeing the rest. Do you manage to wear all of them?

·

Wow man! Look at you all grown up having kids. A good and proper dude!

·

I have 10 at the momento with the 11th on the mail, I don't plan to keep going, the taste for the hunt got quite when I placed the 11th order, I think 12 is the max, if you did it right you have a watch for every possible scenario, now I'm getting into straps and accessories.

·

Congrats 👏👏👏 I know exactly what you mean. I have a few watches I don’t wear enough but that have a point in the collection. I try to keep it under 12 watches, not easy. Sell to buy, not necessarily for funds but to keep it streamlined. I also have a few higher end pieces I don’t wear and should sell but can’t, you know, sentimental value, for the kids one day 😜

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BABY BTW

·

Watches for some, base ball cards, antiques, coins for others, guns for others, boat anchors (old military radios), stamps, art, knives, wine, salt and pepper shakers, bottle caps,....its the same disease, collecting. The pleasure of finding what you like, and liking what you have, sharing with others that may also collect. While some will say such obsessions are materialistic, and these are clearly made of material, it is not about the money. Simple joys are the best and employee millions. Keep collecting, and know, you cannot take it with you, so trade and gift and leave to others with the bug.

Dear Mr MCW, firstly sir, congratulations on baby number 2.

Now to the serious point in question, your alignment of watches and any regimented placement of said watches in the box is horrendous, I feel quite giddy and sick looking at that mess. I will cut you some slack, just a little but sort yourself out sir.

And breathe, ok I have some old and military watches I’ve worn once but I just like to look at them 😎.

That is all.

PS love the channel 👍🏼

"I just like to look at them" is as good a reason as any to collect watches (or anything else).

Congrats @MWC2020 !!! We also welcomed a new baby last week! It’s our 5th! You think you’re “Mad” now, just wait until #5! Love your channel! Cheers!

·

Have, once again, trimmed my collection down to 7 watches. Now, one in/one out. It may be the death of me.

Good news is that gifts don't count in the seven. Guess what I want for every celebration.

Amazing my friend!!!! Congratulations!!!!

Too many = not enough

Congratulations Russel I hope mum and baby are doing very well! It’s at this point though we have to step in and remind you of a few things.

1) although it good to see you pulling your weight and getting your priorities right, you must understand that this is indeed a window of opportunity so it’s time to play ‘fathers slight of hand’. I.e. there is too much going on to actually check up on what you’re doing so time to order that watch you have been listing after, she will never notice 😉

2) you deserve a prezzie, after all it couldn’t have happen without you, so go on and treat yourself

3) at times like these everyone get emotional however especially seeing a wee one enter the world however just be reassured to know we have your back, so anytime you come out with any nonsense about having too many watches rest assured that we will be the first to counter with ‘stop being such a fanny! Man up and get yourself another watch’ 😁

All in good fun … with a thread of truth hahahaha

·

Big congrats to you. You have a very nice awesome watch collection. Love you channel looking forward to see you next show.

·

You putting the new little one on a list for a Daytona? Make a nice 18th birthday present. Better than a bottle of port.

Selling any Casios? Dying to get a solar g shock but can’t afford $90-120 USD.

·

As long as there's any space to fill in your home, your good. Lol

·

Never! You're a lifer like the rest of us. Now if you get to the point that you have to rent storage you might want to think it over. Lol

"Too many" means your whole family has starved to death and/or when you open your front door you are buried beneath the avalanche of watches that has spilled out.

·

Got the same case as me 😊
