I own (or was gifted as an engagement present) the Omega AT 36 quartz, but with a black dial. I love the watch for many sentimental reasons, but I also love it for its accuracy, elegance, and versatility. It'd be my recommendation because, even though I wish it was a co-axial and/or chronometer and all of that...I still think it ticks all of the boxes you list (better than the Longines or Nomos that both don't hold up to the AT's timelessness--especially after seeing them in-person). I was very close to asking for the GS,...but the lack of lume was the death knell for me. The Omega also flirts w/ being too dressy (but that's because you can't really match its case proportions with the any of the sized-down rubber bracelets I've found).
First, you were asked to review a product, not take to a watch forum and evaluate the company's business practices. As Chase is saying, "We absolutely appreciate all reviews—good and bad! Good constructive criticism given in the right way is absolutely vital to learning and doing better. I wholeheartedly believe that." But now, you're not just targeting your criticism at a product, you're levelling it at a whole company and the business practices of a man who started it.
Second,...you were able to post his responses directly, but not your reviews or emails?
How are we to believe that you gave your criticism or suggestions in the right way if you don't share pictures or your review? Did your review include the nuanced discussion of the strap production that led to your unsatisfactory experience? Your write-up leads me to believe that you're only showing part of the story...talk about a double-standard.
I've tried both on--and I suggest you do the same. They're very different watches in-the-metal. To me, the GS was truly impressive for what's inside (quartz or otherwise) but it just felt like a really well-finished, highly accurate computer. No lume was a deal-breaker for me. The Tag Heuer is fantastic on leather, and felt (like most automatic watches do) like it was "working" on my wrist and sung even better on a bracelet. Both feel different though, so I hope you have a chance to try both on before deciding.
I’m upset Tag hasnt included a date complication on this 39mm Carrera (bc the Calibre 02 has that capability) but I’m hopeful that another (of what I’m sure will be many iterations of the Carrera to celebrate the anniversary) will include one!
Ooof,...I might've spoiled my own excitement. It looks like the watch being teased is the already released solargraph https://www.tagheuer.com/us/en/event/tag-heuer-aquaracer-professional-200-solargraph.html
