Do I need to get my watch serviced? or my head?

Updated the text to clarify. In the week since the fall, it's been running a bit slow...( -1 sec/day). I plan on having a watchmaker/tech check things on a timegrapher this weekend.

Thank you! I'll look at these! I really appreciate it and hope to go out and see you at one soon!

Little Treasury (about 40 mins away, in Gambrills, MD) sells JDM Seikos, Grand Seikos, Frederique Constant, Zodiac, etc. Sometimes they host brand events, but I'd love to find something more enthusiast-centric. I thought District Time (https://www.dcwatchshow.com/) would lead to more (they had SO many microbrands on display) but there wasn't a club component there either! 😕

Just purchased (and received) an SMP300m from them. It was great from start to finish. They ask your budget, and come back with offers (if—like me— you were looking to have a new watch sourced). They sourced the new watch at a solid discount from an international AD. That was my only gripe…as it meant I’d have to wait ~2 weeks to get it. Their concierge was helpful and informative, and they even offered to hold the watch for delivery when I was out of town. There are articles in Bloomberg about their process, so I felt comfortable and then brought it to an AD to confirm!

I love watch spotting while watching Succession (and it's great that I'm not the only watchcruncher either! This one took some digging. It's a Rolex Predator (by Bamford).

"...And we had him with a Breitling and a Rolex Predator [the murdered-out Sea-Dweller by Bamford Watch Department]. We played with that this season also, that's been fun. So it's not every episode but you'll see it. I think you'll see it quite a bit."

Have you looked at the Tissot Gentleman Line? https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-us/t1274071104100.html I have one of their ETA movement-based watches, and it's scary accurate. The Powermatic Silicium movement has a silicone balance spring (for added anti-magnetism), and an almost-unheard of power reserve for the price.

Yeah—I totally get that. I’m just starting to wonder if they’re getting “around” that embargo by “hoping” or “predicting.”
