You mean the Taliban special?
I just knew it ๐คฃ I never liked that watch! ๐
I like to think of myself as a terrorist, but my wife says I'm more of a marshmallow. We will fight about that later when she needs me to open the lid of a jar for her.
says the guy that does not have his wife's permission to buy a Simpsons swatch... lol ๐
โOxygen: the preferred breathing gas of terrorists!โ
โFreshwater: the preferred beverage of terrorists!โ
Iโve got one ๐คซ

And how did you just happen to run into an article about espionage?
Mine wasn't a suicide bomber school graduation gift, but I knew of this. It's a section on the wikipedia page, and writer Jack Baruth wrote, while doing the first dis of Hublot I ever ran across, "These watches, which canโt match a eleven-dollar Taliban graduation watch for accuracy, are also imperfectly ticking down the seconds to their own deaths."
๐ฃnot me!

OMG, I love this skit!!!๐
This discussion has been going on for years. WC needs to catch up to the other fora.
From the wrists of Obama to Osama as that angry Dutch man screaming at Hublots on the Internet likes to say.
I'm giving my grandson one for his kissmyass and he's definitely a wee terror(ist)
Some might dislike some of the pricing on the WOE store, I like most of the stuff, YMMV.
But the articles are always a good read.
Dude has an interesting take and first hand knowledge on watches used in the espionage, covert, and SOF communities.
If interested read up on the articles discussing how intelligence communities around the world watch and rate leaders based off the wrist drip they flexin.....๐ค๐ป๐.
And yes, but technically any number of watches/timers/etc will do, and why burn/wire/destroy an F-91W, there's always Skmei...๐๐๐คซ @casiodean...

Very. Look up WOE's Instagram too, I've posted some here before. Usually he'll do a couple photos showcasing various dudes rocking some very nice pieces, doing very clandestine stuff lol.
Yep I suppose it makes sense it's cheap and reliable I'm a vet and i remember Marines who had stupidly expensive watches with GPS,thermometers, etc when all that stuff was provided haha

You know what, now that you mention getting expensive gadgets/gear, I did hear of Marines also getting Rolex Submariners, is that true? or am I confusing them with another branch of the military??? I'm completely ignorant in regards to the military. Oh, and I also heard Navy Seals get Tudors???

I Personally never saw another Marine with a rolex or any other watch like that, my MOS was military police and I was discharged a sergeant so I never met anyone who was on special forces or anything like that, the vast majority of servicemen I met and knew all had casios mostly and other digital type watches, analog dials were few and far between and I personally wore a casio, yes many Marines blew whole paychecks on ridiculously expensive gear and I never understood why but that was just my experience haha
If the terrorists are terrorizing watch nerds, they don't need to search out any specific model. Any quartz with mineral crystal and folded link bracelet should do the job.
Casio is mostly the commons man easy watch to own. If you have a casio even if you have the cheapest most basic then you got something worth while. ๐
The latest is the Hamas in a footage when they move around the Gaza metro.
Own 2 of them the silver and gold, put them on other casio bracelet, voila, looks good with the same tone colour since they are not polished looking.
Casio sells roughly 3 million F-91 watches a year.. every single year lol
