The dive watch question

This is for the Rolex dive watch fan boys, which one is better?

The 14060 submariner or the 16600 sea dweller?

Both looking good with the symmetrical dial and no cyclops.

The real only difference between these too apart from the date will be the thickness of the sea dweller ,I tried the sea dweller on a few months ago and really liked it ,only thing is the date is very small

·

Sea Dweller for me, this Submariner have too much negative space compared to the Sea Dweller and the text on its dial.

·

The sea dweller looks better imo

·

No date on the Sea Dweller would be better. However, Bond was written to wear a Sub!

·

When you compare a 5 digit sub to a 5 digit sea dweller, I’d say they’re the same despite the upgrades of the sea dweller. Both look great. The latest Submariner is better than the latest sea dweller, because the modern sea dwellers are huge dinner plates.

·

If both watches were in the same condition I’d take the no date sub. Arguably more legendary to the average punter. Looks symmetrically better, lighter, thinner. Who needs a date? The bracelet on the sub pictured looks like it needs tightening compared to the SD.

·

The Submariner no date is my favorite. Wouldn't mind owning the other too.

Between these two particular references, Sea Dweller for the win!

·

On initial glance the SD looks better proportioned, but when I look at them one by one I think the 14060 wins out. That said, I would honestly choose the 16600 because it's "cooler".

·

Can’t go wrong either way. Maybe take the sun just because it’s more iconic

·

Seamaster 😜

·

Sea dweller for me

·

Sea Dweller if I had the cash.

·

No Date Sub for me 👍🏻 perfectly balanced dial and great size case dimensions. Although my preference is for the 6 digit 114060

·

Seadweller 100%

·

Face-on, the sea dweller has better proportions, but it's a bit of a chunker in terms of case height. So I think it depends how you plan to use the watch - is it going to be more of a leaisure watch, or might you want to wear it under a cuff?

If it's going to the office a lot, the Sub would fit a lot better. If it's more of a sports/leisure watch and you dont mind the height, the Sea dweller looks better in my opinion.

Another vote for the Sea Dweller

#vintage & #divewatch simply beautiful. I have a Neo vintage sub also. So nice
