I have a 6 inch wrist so I vaguely understand what you mean. I’ve also searched online for answers but nobody has the perfect answer but you.
I come from a country with a warmer climate so I realise that my hand expands quite a fair bit when I’m outdoors. This supports why I would choose a looser fit, because as it gets hot and sweaty a tighter fit can be very unbearable.
At the end of the day, you need to feel for what suits you better. In winter maybe you can choose tighter and in summer maybe looser? There’s no hard and fast rule, but only what suits you. Hope it helps ☺️
