Funny you mention this! I am visiting family in Maine and I usually surf in the winter while wearing a wetsuit of course. But recently I was going surfing during our last storm, it was 20F but with windchill it was approaching single digits. I was studying online that freezing or extreme temps can have an affect on mechanical movements by expanding or shrinking the tiny metal parts so I opted not to wear my watches it in the water. Getting the watch wet on the outside of a wetsuit and then taking it up into the wind can freeze it even more.
I wonder though - do you know if an omega diver for example is built to withstand those kind of freezing temps while in the water?
