Tudor Pelagos FXD on 6.25 inch wrist?

Hello, I’ve got a Pelagos 39 (pictured) but love the look of the 42mm FXD (not pictured). I’m worried it might be a bit too big for my 6.25 inch wrist.

So a long shot - but can any smaller wristed FXD owners share pictures / experiences

Gracias!

Looks good on you.

·

Nahhh looks OK! 'bout the same as my Casio Duro on my 6 1/2" appendage :)

·

Looks good

·

Looks good! Its a keeper!

·

Disagree. Looks great. I have the same wrist size, but I’m currently kinda fat. Fits my wrist well

·

Sorry I’m not being clear! The pic is of the pelagos 39 I have. Thanks for the compliments!

But what I’m wondering about is the Pelagos FXD (not pictured) at 42mm. Perhaps too big for me?

Oops 😬 🤦 😂

The Pelagos FXD that I ordered from the boutique arrived after I tired of the whole Tudor line but my younger daughter who is tall but has a slender wrist wears it well, I suspect due to the fabric strap which is more accommodating to smaller wrists. I cannot share an image but she wears it daily looking after her new baby and regular chores. You should be ok with it.

·

As the 39 fits you well per this pic, I’d think the 42’s lugs will hang over your wrist and look large

·

The 42mm is a different beast on the wrist.

I own the 39mm, my brother owns the LHD and my partner's son owns the regular 42mm.

We all have 7+" wrists and can pull it off, but the extra thickness is apparent.

And the P39 is more refined. Lots of sharp edges on the 42mm variants.

Not a great shot of my FXD on wrist, as is zoomed in too much and my wrist is around 7.25inchs (so not a huge amount of help either 🙈). They don’t wear as big as there lug to lug suggests as the ends curve and also the bezel overhangs the case. Also the FXD is not as think as the standard models. They are great watches 👍🏻

Thanks! Hmm it does fit you well but that’s a much beefier wrist!

·

Out the 42mm on your wrist and show me 🙃. By the looks of how the 39 is fitting you I’m not to confident going up in size will work honestly. Do you have a Tudor AD anywhere near you? That would be your best bet

·

Irrelevant how it LOOKS.

How does it FEEL? Usually, when it feels good on the wrist it’ll almost inevitably look good as well.

Sorry for asking but is there a difference between the Pelagos and the Pelagos FXD regarding the numbers on the bezel?

Comparing this picture with the one from the OP the bezel is inverted!? Or am I slow today?

To be honest, the 39mm looks fine, but I think the 42 on your wrist shape would look big to my eyes.

It's not only the case diameter you should consider, the 42s are pretty thick too (granted the FXD is a hair thinner), but still over a mm thicker than the 39. This does make them harder to wear on smaller wrists.

I have a 6.5" wrist, with cross section of approx 63mm (quite a flat wrist). My regular 42mm Pelagos wears on the larger side - to the point where I was seriously looking to trade it in for a 39mm. But I persevered and convinced myself that for a proper tool use-case, it fits ok. Personally, I wouldn't wear it to the office or a nice restaurant because it still feels too big and chunky, but when my non-prescription dive goggles fogged up at 18m down, I was glad of a larger dial!

It does depend on your style though - if you're wearing new era flat brimmed caps and air jordans, the chunky 42 fxd might just work for you. But if you have to wear sleeves and socks to work, I think it'll be too big.

Some snaps of my regular 42 from some different angles - hope these help:

I have about a 6.2-6.3 inch wrist. This is the red bull version and is really light so you don’t notice it as much. Not sure if the normal metal version would wear any different

Doesnt look too bad from this angle!

·

I also have the Pelegos 39 and that is a much better daily watch. But if you are looking for a bit of fun that you’ll wear at weekends I think you can go a bit bigger. I’ve had my FXD for a few months and have never thought it looked to big

Wrist of 18 cm here. I consider this watch to be on the larger side given its clean dial. It could be a concern on a smaller wrist.

·

My wrist is 6.69” and the FXD wears great. It’s meant to wear larger and the sporty nature of it on the strap it comes with really lends itself to the look. It’s never going to be a watch you dress up, but it’s no different than rocking a G-Shock otherwise. I used to live with the fear of wrist overhang too and I’m really glad I began to embrace large (for me) watches, as well as the 36mm-39mm I’ve always loved. Really opened up my collecting a lot.

·

Looks absolutely fine, mate.

·

I think it’s fine. I have about the same sized wrist and normally don’t go beyond 40mm unless it’s a chunky diver like this.

The blue mn has a different bezel to the black

·

I have the same wrist size. 39mm is definitely not big at all.. Here's mine with a 40mm.

Ok so I went to Tudor - and a shocking twist!

The FXD does seem to fit fine! (Sorry I didn’t take a pic.)

But - I learnt something. I really wanted the Blue MN one. And it’s really nice - but - it really didn’t go with my shirt. Whereas the black did. And made me realise black might be a better bet for the versatility..

·

You've got loads of feedback already, but I'll just add that the FXD wears fine on my 6.2" wrists.

Quite comfy. L2L is just at my max and feels roughly 50mm. I know there's a bulge in the middle of the fixed-bar making it more like 51mm or 52mm, but in practice it's not visible since the strap just covers it..

I think I only have 1 photo in my WC account, but you can check my Instagram (@zetaplus93) for a bunch of pictures I took over the summer if you're interested.

Agreed that black is more versatile. Love my FXD, go for it!!

·

I tried it on at the AD a while ago. I have 6,5 inch wrists. It wears well, definitely not too big.

This is how it wore on me. I like it.

·

Well - I’ve got it now. Seems to be fine size wise. I would like a shorter strap!

Even better on Garmin strap
