How’s 36mm look on me?

Normally I’m not overly keen on Rolex. Just a personal preference. I also usually wear 39mm and above with a Seamaster 300 Professional being my favorite watch to wear. I know the 36mm two tone Explorer one isn’t a lot of people’s favorite but I suddenly find myself loving this watch.

I think it fits into my collection. I like that it has some subtle bling but is sturdy enough for a daily wearer. I don’t know, I like it on my wrist. What do you think?

I also think it looks great. 👍

Fits just fine.

First it looks very good on you. Second, when changing size it always take a bit of time to adapt and get used to it. I've gone from 42 to 36 to 39 for the same type of watch and find all around 40 to 36, a bit more or a bit less, will work for me.

The manager of a Rolex boutique confided in me the 2T 36mm Explorer sold well but was favoured by her lady clients or couples who thought they might be able to share wearing the watch. My wife didn’t want another watch so we moved on.

It looks sublime 👌 What a great watch - and I think the two tone absolutely rocks. Controversial I know, but I am all for a solid yellow gold Explorer: it would be so baller 💸

·

Looks like the right size for you.

·

Looks awesome. The two-tone Explorer is the sleeper Rolex model IMO - and eventually will become sought after.

·

To answer the question. Fantastic!

·

It looks fine. Clearly kind of keen on Rolex 😜

·

Looks like it’s fits perfectly 👍🏻

It looks fine. I wore a 36mm Two/Tone datjust for over 25 years but when I put one on now they do seem very small. JMO Enjoy the hobby

·

Your wrist size is perfect for a 36

·

Love it! It looks great.

·

Perfect wrist size for this beautifull piece.

·

It might be my current favorite Rolex. I passed on an unworn on from WatchBox at $8500 and regret it. Don’t understand why this watch doesn’t get more praise.

Looks great 👍

It looks perfect and for any watch without a bezel ring, a 36-39mm case diameter to 43-47mm lug to lug should fit you well. I believe thats a 18cm wrist? Anyway the watch itself is stunning!!

That’s an impressive guess; 19cm.

Than even 40-41 maximum will probably fit well! Divers and Fliegers is of course a different size game.

·

This is the right size for you. A 39MM is too big.

I tried a 45mm Panerai on and was shocked it worked too

The flexible wrist! Yeah I think Rolex has this magic where 36 fits to a lot of people. You can not say that about every 36 watch. Maybe the rest of the mm are being filled with the majestic appearance of the brand colored with the quality it provides.

I am not a ‘big watch guy’ by any stretch and happily will wear a 36mm watch but from my experience of trying on different Rolex watches, the 36mm explorer does wear small. I would go for a 36mm date just over a 41 very happily but I don’t know why, the explorer didn’t suit me. I think it relates to the shape of the lugs. Makes it look smaller. I’m not commenting on the size on your wrist in the photo, more an observation about the explorer vs date just in 36

·

I like it. Cool #rolex

·

I think it looks just right. For this design I do think the 39 mm version is just too big.

And also, my philosophy is, there are no too small watches, just too big ones.

Looks amazing.

(Ok now to be serious lol. Personally I find subtle two-tone bracelets difficult to execute well. I think the best example of a subtle one I’ve seen is on a Seiko 5, where the center link’s two polished edges are in gold.)
