Watches and Drinks

I am enjoying a nice glass of wine (19 Crimes) and reading a new book and a thought occurred to me. What drink would match your favorite watch. Wine is not really something I would pair with my Hamilton, but if I had to pick I'd say my Chronograph H would pair well with a stout. Guinness being my preferred go to. What about you what drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) pairs well with your watch?

Good Choice! But what watch would you pair with both?

Whiskey.  I am not too picky on which one.

Beer goes with everything, beer is bread.

Might as well have some vodka to go with a Komandirskie but I avoid the ruskie stuff like Stoli because it tastes like turps. Instead I'll go with Swedish Absolut neat and straight out of the freezer.

Neat, clean, and sophisticated!

That's a difficult question because I'm still debating the pro and con of French vs Jamaican rum.

Awesome choice. I have not tried either so I can not give my two cents. However, cracker watches with what I've been told is a delicious drink!

I try not to think of watches when I drink. Last time I did it, I ended up drunk shopping online. Worst is I didn’t realize because the shipping was delayed by few months. Coincidentally, I am wearing it today and the topic came up. Good times!

Now I need a drink to forget about it. 🍸

Thank you so much for that rather amusing story with a great buy! Hopefully I never do that myself because I don't think my bank account would survive!, but if I do I hope it's something as fantastic as what you chose! Cheers!

I used to drink red wine or beer but they spike my blood sugar too much, hard liquors on the other hand don't cause a blood sugar spike or a rise in insulin and since I don't like the taste of whiskey and despise vodka that left only rum or tequila and strangely enough I found that rum goes better with reflections on horology than tequila does.

I‘m a German and don’t like wine. The only drink my watches can possibly be is beer 🍺 😂 every. single. one.

I am sorry that wine and beer mess with you, but I am happy you found something to enjoy! I need to try rum! Contemplating anything with rum sounds interesting!

Beer is great! Wine is great! And everything else that gives a person a buzz of relaxation is great! I hope you enjoy your favorite brew with all of your wonderful friends and watches!

C'est la vie. Instead of getting bitter about being pre-diabetic I found alternatives and overall I'm healthier today than I was 10 years ago.

Anyway, do try rum. There is a lot of variety due to the aging process and distillation methods and you will find that there is a lot of difference between French and Jamaican rum for example.
