Calling all owners of a GMT!

I just pulled my new Komandirski out of the mailbox today!

Image

I’ve wanted to get a GMT for a while, but didn’t have the money. But I happened upon this gorgeous 62018A and pulled the trigger. 1st, I wanted another Vostok to accompany my Amphibia…and 2nd, it was only $112.00 including delivery!

Image

Vostok really upped their game with this Komandirski! Just look at that fantastic caseback — seabird, water and sunset galore! And what about that deep blue dial, red star and 10 o-clock subdial? Smashing!

Image

As for the bracelet — the links feel solid…not rolled. It sized beautifully and wears confidently and comfortably.

Now I’m a member of the GMT club…and how proud I am!

What kind of GMT do you have? Is it one of your favorite watches?

I bought it specifically for that holiday, and it was perfect. I could swim with it,track local and home time, and it was nice enough to wear evenings if I wanted. A great watch.

Congratulations! I'm a fan of GMT too but I don't have one yet. As a proud Vostok owner too, I guess their GMT also makes me interested. Maybe someday in the near future

The instant switching of the main time and GMT time is the absolute coolest feature I have seen in any GMT watch ever. If watch people didn’t have their heads up their asses, this would be hottest and most praised GMT out there.

Touché! Well said😹

My trusty BB Tudor...great watch! I collect Vostoks and have always been trying to find a 170863 Batman Vostok GMT, where did you get yours??

Looking for this one:

@solidyetti directed me to https://buyvostok.com/. These guys are top notch! They ship out of Florida which is super fast…and offer a 10% discount if you sign up for their correspondence. Seeing as how you are in Italy, I’m not sure of shipping costs. That said, meranom.com could be just as good to peruse what you are looking for.

Dang!…that is quintessential bad ass!

The Longines Master Collection I have has Day, Date and GMT on retrograde displays. Throw in the moonphase as well and it's bloody brilliant!

Image

It’s a neat watch but it’s not for me. The 24-hour scale is done wrong. Really strange choices by Longines.

Thanks Darin, good recommendations!

My only GMT is a Vostok 650539. It gets worn at least a few times a week. Sometimes I might swap the straps for a 40 year old Seiko bracelet. It would be nice if my bracelets had quick release springbars.

When the wardrobe is appropriate, a black 2 piece zulu can do the job.

I was actually thinking of getting your model when I stumbled upon my 62018A. Vostok’s are just plain cool.

My 1st only I one, the Q Timex GMT. I swapped bracelets to the original Q Timex bracelet. Thinking about the Seiko 5KX GMT. Probably the yellow dial.
