What are your 2024 watch plans?

Service 5 vintage wristwatches and an antique pocket watch. 🙄

I plan to only get 1 watch next year, the JLC Reverso. Maybe a 60s, 50s, and 40s Omega. But the Reverso is the priority. If I get other watches outside the aforementioned, those are unplanned and unbudgeted.

After a watch purchase free 2023, I am looking to get a Pelagos FXD next year for my 30th birthday

I hope to save my money and enjoy my current collection 😅

My goal is to not buy any more watches. (This is a lie. I will probably buy more watches.)

Hopefully sell a watch and get this as a frst watch sale present!

Debating with myself about whether to buy a new watch or fix one or two of the current lot.

I need to get to a watchmaker to see how much the repairs would be before I decide.

Pick this up. That's all I want.

Sell sell sell. And then be sad when I don’t manage to do it.

Stop buying any more watches if at all possible. I should already be content with what i have. 😄

This last year, 2023, I bought what averages out to 1 watch per week. 2024, I'm planning to really pull back on the purchases and only get 2 per month maximum.

I took advantage of end of the year sales to pick 3 new watches I had my eye on.

I didn't buy any watches at all last year. Instead I contemplated what I really wanted in my collection long term. I narrowed down my criteria and chose a few pieces that fit, then sat with it all year to see if my mind changed. I bought the ones that passed the test.

So for next year, I probably won't buy much. I'm actively editing my collection and moving in a more focused direction, so I'll only buy if I find a good price on a specific type of watch.

I'm hoping that 2024 will be a big year for solar movements.

To bring to a close a winding down process that began 18 months ago. I’ve learnt to do it gradually because cold turkey hurts and is in no-one’s interest.

Buy less, wear more.

Hopefully finding a watch I need for my 50th birthday. So far I have not been able to find a watch that I can't live without.

Going to NYC visit the Bulova and Citizen spot in empire state building.

Gonna get a custom made watch box. Buy another watch 🤔 maybe.

Possible elevate this watch hobby to another level since it kept me out of trouble.

Already booked Błonie (Polish microbrand) limited Zodiak. Thats January. I will also need to service my Alpinist.

But my main goal is to get better in watch photography and polish my skill. Maybe even some videography

Limit myself to purchasing just one watch. Bought a few this year.

It’s such a unique watch nothing else like it and no I’ve never seen anyone else wearing one or even seen one in a shop.

Hopefully to not buy as many watches as I did this year. 😂

But when/if that call for a Batgirl comes in, I'm prepared.

I foolishly purchased 21 watches so far this year. Totally out of control. Buuut in 2024 I would like to get the MR-G B-1000B 1A G-Shock. It’s wrapped and waiting for me.

I suspect I shall only add 1 or perhaps 2 to my assortment. I know what they are, I just need to make it happen.

My first luxury watch is on the agenda for next year, might be the only thing I get though depending on how overboard I go on the spending 😂

I’m finished buying until I can get a 226570 Polar Explorer at retail or less.

Planning to get a vintage Bucherer I have serviced. And looking at purchasing just one or two watches this coming year. But you know how that goes. One somehow becomes four or five.

I am travelling for a year so will be enjoying my watches and not having the available funds to buy more!

My plan is to hopefully get my first Rolex, i have my name in with my AD, if that doesnt come thru thinknit will be a Bretling Super Ocean

1. Become less broke.

2. Achieve 1 by avoiding buying watches.
