I agree with you but for whatever reason only with Rolex. Watches like the SBGA413 is popular… among watch enthusiasts, it’s not a generally well know watch so I would give any GS a pass.
Something timeless that you will wear. You need to leave an impact on the watch by wearing it frequently around her so something you will enjoy and something in a timeless style b/c who knows how style will change or what she will be into decades from now

Rolex service on a no date sub is at least $700 and is taking months. Don’t get me wrong the Cartier is also a very long service period rn (all Richemont brands take 5ever) but a used sub will most likely require service soon so factor that in
