Just can't take the helium valve on the Seamaster. Drives me crazy. It's as dumb as having the Formula 1 DRS on a Prius as standard equipment.
There's like 50 people in the world that actually partake in saturation diving, and they use high-tech dive computers.
Does the helium escape valve bother me on the Seadweller? No, because you barely know it's there. It's not like Seamaster's valve that looks like the VHF channel knob on a 1970's TV.
Sorry for the rant, but I feel strongly about this. Ruins an otherwise beautiful watch... well, except for that ugly non-tapered bracelet... Don't get me started again.
Now the Seamaster 300? Never saw one in person, but I'm pretty sure I'd love that thing.
Seamaster. Great quality watch. I love that it has is own design language, and the fact that the bracelet and He valve seem to trigger some Submariner fans makes me love it even more.
That damn helium valve nonsense and the hands ruin it for me.
This on the other hand...
this is great.
All my sensibilities told me that I would like this more than the sm 300m. I was so surprised I preferred, and ended up buying, the 300m after trying them on at an AD.
Omega got all up themselves and priced themselves out of my pocket over the last ten years so my vindictive streak says Submariner. I couldn’t possibly afford either lol 😆

Agree with you 100%. The HE valve is tumor on an otherwise decent looking and unique design. If they’d remove it, it would look a hundred times better.
I do have both and I`d always prefer my Submariner. Even though the SM is a stunner. But dial of the Sub is slightyl better finished and the bracelet....
I really like the SM, but like many have said the helium valve throws my favor to the Sub, which I have actually seen on someone in real life, and what charm on that watch, I was shocked.
I own both, couldn’t be more different and each is special in its own way. That being said, the Seamaster is worn in a rotation and the Sub only comes out for special occasions.
Non of them I'm afraid, the seamaster the popped out buttony thing, the hands and it looks squashed together, the sub the date and that bubbly providence on the face plus the fact you can't actually buy the thing. But if your talking about the vintage models (and the omega retro repo) oh yes count me in and I would be torn what to go for (well maybe the omega, just), that's my 2 penneth anyway
In 2012, I had my first career milestone and decided that I would mark the occasion with a watch. I stumbled upon the Watchuseek forum. And the rest, as they say, is history.
That damn helium valve nonsense and the hands ruin it for me.

Submariner.

Just the taper on the oyster bracelet 20mm to 16mm at the clasp wins this for me. Great comparison 🤙🏽
Wow, omega making a comeback on this poll! 🥊

Stupid that you can't change vote as my vote was for omega but once I touched one picture that's it !!!! Now I can't put it right
Omega got all up themselves and priced themselves out of my pocket over the last ten years so my vindictive streak says Submariner. I couldn’t possibly afford either lol 😆
Well that's closer than I thought. Subby all day long it's "practically perfect in every way"
Submariner.

Had to go Rolex, and I’m no massive Rolex fan!

As someone who accidentally clicked on the Sub I must state I am 1000000% a Seamaster fan and plan to buy one in the near future

Seamaster, dial is fantastic and fun. Dial on the sub is ... yawn ...

💯💯💯
Probably neither, BB58 for me.

@WatchCrunch might be a good feature for next iteration.
the hate on the he valve is real

Sub, but only with this exact choice. I would choose most other Seamasters over the Sub.
