It irks me when I hear watches being referred to as “pieces”. I don’t know why. I am sorry, many does it, nothing against y’all and its all love here. Just an unpopular opinion…
Tudor for me. It’s a great deal even at full retail. They have a silicon version of the Breitling B01 movement, and B01 watches are asking something like 30% more than the Tudor (fact check pls) Iirc.
The bracelet is a bit of a let down on the Zenith. It’s got a cool movement though but 10th of a sec chrono is also one of the least useful complications out there imo.
Owner here. Bought mine in February this year after trying it on at a local AD. I has been wanting a Spring Drive watch forever, but there are 3 things that had held me back: the PR indicator on the dial, the thicker cases that they generally come in, and the better dials usually come in titanium cases. With the SD white birch, they literally read my mind and fixed all of my complaints at least on paper. I still wanted to try one on to confirm it is as good in person as it seems on paper though and after seeing it in person, it confirmed my suspicion that it’s a beautiful, wearable, quintessentially GS watch.
The only caution I would throw out there is that this is NOT a dress watch. If that’s what you are looking for, then I would make sure you try it on first or look elsewhere. Even though the dial is “fancy” the evolution 9 case and bracelet clearly have a sporty leaning. people don’t like the broader lugs at 21mm, but it does make the watch sit incredibly stable on wrist. So i would describe it as an “elevated“ sporty watch.
