Greetings WatchCrunch

Hello WatchCrunch Community. I'm James, one of the Co-Founders of Blok. You all have offered some kind and helpful reviews of our watches. I've been meaning to get on here for awhile and as we come out of the fog of production mode it's a good time to do that. Thank you!

Welcome. Some interesting designs, I hope the next generation takes them to heart and carries the love of timepieces forward. It's going to be difficult with Apple watches being everywhere.

·

At first glance it’s an interesting design that has its own personality which is very difficult to find

The lume application also gives that feel with the min and hr hands not having any them selves.

Over all I think it’s going to at least get people talking about it.

Im interested to learn more.

Best of luck.

·

Thanks @Cantaloop. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart but we are up for the challenge!!! We love watches.

·

We've discussed the product on several occasions and I fear that it was very well received and there are no big suggestions to be made. I am impressed by the numerical hour indices being centered on the hour, as opposed to the start of it, which is a great aid for young dial readers without making it look like one.

The size is fine. Ignore these people wanting unfun-sized ones.

·

Awesome I’m a fan and so is my son!! Ohh can you make one for Adults size 39mm for folks like me that still have a hard time reading time 😉😜

·

It’s a wonderful idea for kids. My problem with the product though is that I’m not going to give my 6 year old anything that costs more than $10-20, because she’s incredibly likely to take it off and lose it at some point during the day.

·

Probably need to improve on the strap. It is too stiff and velcro tends to catch on to hairs, lints and threads. The supplied strap is also too short and kids will outgrow the strap in a short time. I would suggest to replace it with a single pass nato and we can cut to size.

I am an absolute fan. Bought one for my god daughter for Christmas and got myself one at the same time. I just love it!

Welcome. With these great looking watches I'm seriously considering making some kids.

·

Welcome!

While I am past the "making kids" age, I think these are interesting, inexpensive and fun summer watches. More interesting than just make a diver with a pastel color or yet another g-shock. Are you considering "adult" sized models (longer strap, larger (37-39mm) size?

Welcome!

My 4 y/o has worn one of my Islander watches on several occasions since he was 2. He saw me with them in the mornings and wanted to wear an oversized daddy watch one day, which turned into a regular thing. I didn’t care if it blew up. it meant the world that his little tiny brain was interested in a watch. He forgot it at daycare one day and It’s got quite a lot of scratches on it, but it still works and now that my son autographed it himself, I can’t ever let it go.

He’s 4 now and still has an interest once in a while. I’ll invest in one of these when/if he starts asking to wear a watch on a regular basis

WELCOME TO THE PORTAL! AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE LINE!

·

Welcome! I’ve never seen Blok before. Been thinking about getting my kid a new watch before the start of the school year, and this might be it!

·

Welcome

·

I love the thinking and how you reapproached basic assumptions about how we read time. I just want a 37mm version for myself.

·

Welcome to WC. I think that what you're doing is amazing, and I wish you great success.

·

I like your stuff. Keep up the good work.

·

I am planning to buy one of these for my son when he turn 3 this year so he can have watches like Daddy. also so he stops trying to take my mechanicals all the time but it warms my heart to see him smile when he asks me to wind it close to his ear so he can hear it or cover his hands and shut off the lights so he can see the lume show.

Whats the smallest size wrist the block31 accommodates? Wasn't sure how the strap would fit if there would be too much excess or not enough velcro for him.

Thanks for making a good product!
