commented on What's your opinion on affordable mecaquartz chronographs? ·

My watch collection intentionally includes differing technologies used show time on the wrist. So, I added a mecha-quartz. It's from Dan Henry and I bought it used. I like it more than I expected and I consider it a good value. It gets a bit more wrist time than I expected when I bought it.

Only down side is the silly 24 hour dial that is a function of the Seiko VK-63 movement. This is a common movement used in mecha-quartz watches.

While not as flexible as a white dial watch, I think I'd go with a simple blue gold combination.

BTW...the collection you presented is awesome.

Like Christopher Ward, not a fan of skeleton dials. This one does not work for me at all. So, I'm happy that there isn't a yet another Christopher Ward tugging at my wallet.

@secondhandcourage - that watch is a great example of a good roman numeral watch. While not my favorite, if anyone told you roman numeral watches suck, you could always "hold my beer" and point to California dials...dogs and cats shouldn't live together.

Here are a couple of Roman Numeral Watches I like.

If a man is wearing it, it's a men's watch. If it's a woman wearing it, it's a women's watch. The size means it would probably fit better on a larger wrist, easier for Caitlin Clark to pull off than Peter Dinklage

Looks good on the wrist in the picture.

Depends on the watch. Some for style, some for category, some for complication...one or two cause a bit too much bourbon.
