NWA Hamilton Murph

Today I decided to treat myself to a new Hamilton Murph 42mm, the watch is beautiful, the strap however I think I will change, any ideas anybody?

I’d go for a stainless steel option…looking awesome with it!

·

Here’s a nice strap from Tuns Leather for that beautiful watch!

Black bison strap. Use the shop website, not Etsy, for a better price. About $45.00 USD.

Love that watch!

These do look great on leather. Have a look at The Strap Taylor, they have some great straps and great service. 👍

Hey Jake,

Congrats on your new Murph! The great news is the Murph is a strap monster so you shouldn’t find it too difficult to swap that leather strap for something more comfortable.

For steel options, Uncle Seiko makes a good bracelet (with end links) for the Murph but not sure it will fit your 42.

For straps, I’ve been able to try out Archer silicone straps thanks to recos from our community. They’re very comfortable and really affordable. I believe Barton has a similar option - it was just out of stock when I was buying before so I went with Archer instead.

Great piece! Nice choice.

·

I changed mine immediately for a dark brown leather strap. I have put it back on the original since then, but other straps are better.

I know that the Beads of Rice bracelet Uncle Seiko make for the Longines Legend Diver 42 fit these, but I reckon they look better on leather.

Rios1931 do some good military inspired straps and are worth a look for this style of watch or WatchGecko would do the trick for something less toolish.

·

I have a Murph (38mm) and immediately switched out the strap for an oyster style bracelet. I couldn’t be happier. It really is the perfect GADA watch. Simple straightforward 3-hands watch that is perfectly legible. I’m pretty amazed at how accurate it is too. My bracelet came from Uncle but I don’t think he offers one for the 42mm Murph. You might have to look around.

The Uncle Seiko Beads of Rice for the 42mm LLD does fit the 42mm Murph - Great minds think alike!

Whoa is that the bracelet from a khaki field? And is it the 42mm?

Yeah, it’s the 42mm and yes on the Khaki field. It’s the same exact case. Fits so well.

·

Coffee coloured straps looks good too.

Nice pickup! I agree, that strap needs to be replaced. I tried on the 42 and 38 and I found the strap on both to be really uncomfortable. Good thing is there are lots of options out there.

This one is made by Barton Bands and I think I looks amazing.

On my shortlist.

Love Hamilton. I got a 42 field with a metal bracelet and I put it on a French marine NATO from time to time. But the murph is a strap beast you can put anything on it enjoy well jell!

·

IMO any leather strap/NATO strap that fits the field watch vibe is perfect with this watch.

Thanks!

·

Congrats! Enjoyed my time with the 42 but was just too big for me so I switched to the 38. I do wish they kept the Morse Code seconds on the 38 as well

More possibilities for your watch from Tuns.

I’d say keep the leather strap - but if you wanna go nato, go with grey 👍

·

On a CTS delugs rubber strap, very comfy GADA.

I preferred the 42mm on the Khaki bracelet but it still proved to be too much watch for my wrist.

But I liked it so much that I picked up a 38mm and called Uncle.
