It was a limited release from them: https://jackmasonbrand.com/products/solar-watch-1?_pos=33&_sid=472e28754&_ss=r&variant=39487669534902

Getting one second-hand is your best bet. I might be willing to part with mine if someone was interested in buying it. I just don't wear it enough.

I've been contemplating a Lunascope. How have you liked it so far?

commented on Curious what motivates your "next" watch purchase? ·
  1. Long-time wants (Tudor 1926, Omega SMP, Baltic MR01, Hamilton Jazzmaster Openheart)

  2. Milestones (his & hers Hamilton Boultons, Panerai Luminor)

  3. "Gaps" in the collection (Vario Trench, Farer Eddington Moonphase, Citizen Tsuki-yomi Atomic Time)

  4. Oooh shiny (Tudor BB, Tag Heuer Carrera Chrono Glassbox)

  5. Colors (Davosa Newton Pilot Green, Seiko Presage Sharp Edge Crimson)

In other words, I have lots of reasons 😂

I'm a big fan of white dials. I also like oatmeal cookies so maybe I'm an odd one 😉

My wrist photography skills aren't great and it always looks like the watch is larger on my wrist than it actually is. I comfortably wear 42mm watches and own a couple of 46's. Whenever I go smaller from a 42 down to 39, there is a period of time where I look at my wrist and think the smaller one is too small. I know it's nonsense, but it's just how my mind processes it. I appreciate the kind words that it looks good on my wrist.

I definitely get that. I was drawn to this one because of how much it looks like an Explorer II and my favorite dial for that one is the Polar so the desire to have a white dial GMT is there for me as well. But I agree about the premium... probably not worth it right now. Maybe the price will come down a bit in the future.
