Now listen children, yes g-shocks are big like Tonka toys, lots of bright colours like your favourite burgers and yes they makes noises and tells the time…but it’s a toy, it’s made out of plastic just like that wind up boat you splash around in the bath with, its not a real watch, it’s a toy one.
They’re all big and loud just like you kids and when you wear them you can pretend to be in Star Wars or something.
There will come a time when you grow up and add at least 15 years to your age and you can have a proper watch like this one, it’s smart, stylish, it can go in deep water and it will last a lot longer than your tonka toy and it does just what a watch should do……, tell the time no noise no fuss, no lights just the time
So there you go, play with your plastic toy and pray that Santa or mom and dad buy you a proper watch some day

I bought a duro - for close to $50 dollars - took off the awesome rubber strap - put the strap on my Vostok Amphibia and threw the duro into the garbage bin - all I wanted was a comfy rubber Casio strap. #TrueStory

My only thought is if the Duro came in like a 39mm case, it would be a killer sub $100 watch. Why is it so big though!?

I have the exact same Duro with bracelet and also the GWG 2000 ( G shock Mudmaster) shown in this post along many of my GShock.
Yes the duro is solid but you can't F with the Master of G the GWG 2000 that's a tank and looks great with its endless toy features 😅

Nice Duro crystal replacement, I toyed with the magnifier but opted for the plain in the end, this simple upgrade really lifts the watch 👍🏻

Picked up the GW5610u and then modded with bracelet.
The Duro mods with sapphire and date magnifier (I added the orange second hand and the “Gulf” decal to give it a “racing” look) and the jubilee bracelet from LIW all come together to keep this watch in the heavy-rotation category. 👍
