Bronze Patina - Good or Bad?

So, I know bronze watches have been popular for a few years now. And a big part of the charm is fact they acquire a “patina” rather quickly over time....

I had similar debate awhile back, wanting a 36mm steel sports watch with black dial. Those two were both in contention. In the end, I went with a used Tudor BB36 in great condition. Obviously cost more than those others but I think it’s amazing watch and maybe top in that category. You could argue the Explorer is the king but it’s so expensive now.

I think they are fine for the money and great entry watches. My first real mechanical watch was a Pro Diver I bought in 2009. It worked perefectly back then and I recently wore it 14 years later and still keeps decent time and has never been serviced. The general quality of the construction is solid too. I don’t like the look of many of their gaudy looking watches but the Pro Diver always seems a great choice.

We’re making a high quality 40mm mechanical diver (ISO certified) that costs less than $500.

Reduced is older, they don’t make them anymore. I’d worry about reliability a bit more, although maybe not, I’ve heard conflicting things. Reduced is cheaper. I have small wrists too and have contemplated the reduced. But it’s not really the “real” moonwatch, if you care about those things.

I don’t like them at all. No idea why you’d want a Red Bull luxury watch. I think they look way uglier then the regular FXD. The only interesting thing is the carbon construction.

If Casio released a 40mm Duro, would be a game changer. I agree the size seems the main downside of that watch.
