Been watching this one for some time
I had several Grand Seiko's in mind when adding to the collection. I wanted a classic GS so this is the one that got my attention the most. I have too many sports watches, time for something that is much more dressy.

This is on my list but my dilemma is that the Black Bay Burgandy and the longines Master Calendar is also on that list. Add to that, I'm on the list for an OP and a Datejust. 1st world problems I guess.
V nice - I did the same and went way dressier than anything I have. Makes sense as there’s clear daylight between this and anything else I own.
That's the best looking GMT in the market for me
If you pull the trigger, push for a discount. I think you’ll be pleased in any event.

Although GS seems to be best known for the 44GS case which is sporty, I think their best work is in the elegance collection with a 36-38mm case size.

Great looking GS and the GS GMTs are a joy to own, very fun precision setting, excel tan travel watch.
Perhaps one of the most classic GS in the lineup. I recommend trying this on in person, the dial is even better IRL. The case is a little on the thick side according to the numbers, but it didn’t show up on the wrist for me. BTW: on Etsy you can get a light blue leather strap that looks fantastic with the dial and GMT had:

Unless I am mistaken, the model is the SBGM221. If so, you could get a discount based on my purchase experience.
