I keep hunting while wearing my latest purchase - normal?

Hi Crunchers,

I am reading my „Armbanduhren“ Magazine and I thought about what to go for next.

Classic behavior of a watch hunter you‘d say.

BUT … I just bought my Santos last Tuesday, am in a deep honeymoon phase and this watch has a very special place and means a lot to me.

Why am I already thinking about what comes next? Can someone relate?

My eagle eyes spotted the BA111OD Chaptr Delta

One of the coolest watches for that price.

This is such a specific piece which no one outside the watch bubble would ever consider a nice watch - but its freaky and i kinda like it.

Though it should be a GMT next :) probably a Christopher Ward Sealander GMT 36

Sadly, it’s an affliction that many of us undoubtedly share.

😂…. 😳

·

Yes! 😁

·

Not just normal, healthy.

·

Avarage watch geek. Completley normal.

·

Normal..

·

The affliction goes even further for me ... I just got a call from an AD for watch I've been waiting for for ages ... and I have yet to go to pick it up, but I'm already looking for other watches to buy with complete disregard to my finances ... Probably unhealthy, at this point!

Hi, I'm Amine, and I am a watch addict...

·

Big ask to be able to find something as iconic as that new Cartier of yours - but you can always try, (and maybe feel smug as you look at hundreds of watches that don't measure up)...

·

It is the addiction we all share! Either that or as a species we require super stimuli constantly!

·

Purchased a watch yesterday, and first thing this morning watching review videos. Just normal behaviour for a watch addict.

·

This disease is a progressive one

·

Ummm yes lol

·

This is a classic symptom of our illness. Fatal I’m afraid. 🤒

·

Excellent piece my friend! But unfortunately for crazies like us, the hunt is never over and we will never be satisfied. Like you I just picked up a Tudor Blue BB58 and I’m completely satisfied at this point.

But when a deal comes my way I strike while the pan is hot. For instance:

500 for Cartier Must, I’m picking this up for my mother.

And on occasion I’ll wear it to the office! Part of curse is the hunt and what deals to take. My two cents. Thanks for sharing!

that’s a beautiful piece - it’s on my grail shortlist 😬

·

I just got my Oris Diver in the mail Monday and I’m thinking about Big Crown Pointer Dates already… I made a solemn promise, nay a vow, to not buy another watch this year. I’m gonna look though… 2025 is gonna happen.

Financially fatal!

·

Yes.

Completely.

😭😂🤣

·

The hunt for the next watch never ceases! The constant perusing and learning is basically the hobby - as there no exit watch or completion to our collections IMO. 😄

·

Sounds normal to me! Beautiful Cartier BTW.

·

Thanks for the replies and reactions - it definitely gives me a little bit of relief that it’s a natural thing for the lovely weirdos like us😊

Why did we all choose such an expensive addiction? Couldn’t it just habe been stamps or beer bottle caps? 😂

Oh that sounds like a real argument with your partner 😂

·

Yes, I'm afraid so.🙄

·

I just posted about buying watches just a few days ago! You are not alone!

·

Ahh yes the saga continues there will always be a nice worth while time piece waiting in the shadows.
