Favourite recent purchase!

I recently did photography for IWC Aus/NZ. The sent me this one to shoot. I loved it so much I bought one.

The IWC x Mercedes titanium 41mm chronograph is my purchase of the year so far. What’s yours?

The only watch I got this year is one that I purchased at the tail end of 2022. It's the Mathey-Tissot Type XX recreation.

WOW!! Your IWC chrono is definitely THE best looking chrono I've ever seen! 😎

My only watch purchase so far this year was the Pagani PD1701 v3 which I picked up this past February;

My Datejust. I’m still in the honeymoon phase but I’m loving it so far

That watch is sweeeeeeet! I love the colors. My Rolex OP is my top purchase for the year and my first Swiss watch. 😍

Excellent choice ..I enjoy my IWC

I recently picked up the newly released Tudor Black Bay 36mm.

I got my first vintage watch just recently. A 1971/72 Seiko 6119.

What took you about the IWC? When I saw it released, I did not expect it to be widely or wildly popular, seemed like it was going to be quite niche.

The only watch I purchased this year, but extremely satisfied with the purchase and I’m considering cutting my Samurai and Turtle loose. The monster has become my favorite style of Seiko affordable diver.

This Hamilton clone, the Baltany S2002, wears extremely well, keeps super time, EASY to see, great specs and was very affordable.

I turn 40 later this year so I picked up a birthyear speedy to celebrate.

I am trying to limit my watch purchases to one a year, and since I am turning 40 this year I decided to get a watch to commemorate this date, where I live and with the budget I have I was a bit limited.

Long story short, I got myself my first Swiss automatic, the Hamilton Air Race. At the moment I didn’t realise but it was my first pilot watch.

Still in the honeymoon phase.

I added a vintage Omega that wasn’t a dress piece for once.

My only purchase so far this year has been this

My chrono of the year is still in transit and thus occupies that magic space between what I imagine the watch will be like versus what tumbles out of the box. I do already know though that I've never been more eager to replace a strap.

Super excited about this Credor I picked up on vacation in Japan with the family.

So clean. Is that enamel? I've never seen one in real life yet. Was always a bit put off by the high price tag, but looks with every penny.

Sigh.... have added nothing for myself in a while. Last year I picked up a Grand Seiko SBGA229 and gave it away - same thing with a new Explorer I 36mm to my daughter. I gave a Hamilton Khaki Automatic to a buddy last month for his 50th & my wife received a pink dial OP for her birthday as well. A Marathon Artic SAR to my brother & an Echo-Drive Orca Promaster Diver to another brother. I'm on the hunt for something new in Titanium. Your new watch in on my short list! Congratulations on a beautiful new watch! It's down to your watch or a Grand Seiko Titanium Chrono. I've owned a few GS pieces but never IWC. This watch is a stunner!

Can I be your friend? Haha.

There's a GP Laureato in titanium that looks great with it's blue dial. Similar size to that monster SBGA229.

I absolutely love that penguin footprint dial. I’ve wanted one for a while now.

It’s actually porcelain and the dial is hand painted.

Scottsdale is in range, and going to a meetup would be fun! Is there a group or standing meeting time/place? I'm new to WC so still figuring out where everything is...

No Nothing scheduled

We would have to come up with a game plan.

Wonder how many others are in the valley?

Ah, that makes more sense since it's japanese. And I meant "worth" every penny. Their movements are usually really nicely finished as well from photos I've seen. Movement shot when you get a chance?

The original Eichi was enamel, but the Eichi II here is porcelain.

Sweet, thanks. I love that Sakura(?) Design over the mainspring and it's beveled edges.

Not sure if Sakura, but that’s what I tell people lol!

I’ve handled this in the IWC boutique in London. It’s heart stopping. Such an amazing watch. Great great choice. Congrats.

Nice looking watch! 👌

My iwc is 5 years old but I have no plans adding another one yet. Got enough on rotation already. Meantime, I'm looking at some, when the itch hits, probably a rolex or vc but none too fancy and never over retail
