Ball Engineer III Pioneer II 36mm

Saw that Ball is doing another 36mm release, I appreciate how they are putting these out, as most of their other watches are pretty big at like 40mm+...

Sorry for the delay I like it! Here's a small post I made in my thoughts a while back https://www.watchcrunch.com/unixdad/posts/wruw-2023-08-21-e5485683-jnk2azwe-190372#comment-749595

I don't think it looks too small in the ad, I think it looks great tbh. Folks are just really used to large watches

I don't doubt some people do buy them because they are a more obtainable Rolex.

I think a lot of people feel like I do which is a draw to a lot of the vintage inspired designs that tudor releases, we already know Rolex won't use the Rolex brand to release back-catalog stuff so its either vintage or tudor in a lot of cases /2cents

I actually have both Oris Big Crown in bronze 40mm & a Ball Engineer III Marvelight in 36mm you really can't go wrong with either one both are great watches.

I think ball generally will offer a bit more in terms of water resistance and anti-magnetic / anti-shock but at the cost of being thicker, additionally a lot of their watches have male end links leading to an overall bigger feel on wrist, whereas the Big Crown is quite thin and has female endlinks so it wears a bit smaller

This is my favorite because it's my only tritium tube watch, this is a Ball engineer III marvelight 36mm

I love the ranger's retro explorer-esque dial, I hope tudor releases this in 36mm someday
