Can a bad name sink a watch?

I recently saw a post from @got_time_1 where he pointed out a largely under the radar model from Tudor, the Glamour. I must say, I dig just about ever...

I was looking at this watch and wondering what it was I didn’t like about it (I love the 300 design overall). I just did a side-by-side with the 300T.. and it’s the hands. They are WAY too short. Like cartoonishly short. Maybe it’s me, but I think that one aspect is a total miss in the proportions. The 300 remains on my to-buy list.. I’ll pass on the 200T.

Good question! Really, I think it just comes down to the excitement that comes with talking about your Speedmaster, or your Pelagos, or your Submariner. All great names which capture a certain mystique that I think enthusiasts (especially men) enjoy.

I guess that’s kind of the crux of it - these are clearly marketed towards women. And some might say “well if you’re secure, then blah blah” and, sure - but I think there’s a missed opportunity to capture the “cool factor” that would draw the male crowd to this model.
