Going smaller….

How does this look to you? This is probably the smallest watch I’ve gone with. I was concerned it wouldn’t look right on wrist, but I was willing to risk it because I wanted a classically styled watch of this type to be more vintage sized. Gray market dealer listing didn’t help at all: it is listed as a ladies watch (even though Hamilton doesn’t describe it as such on their website), and the measurements are given for the case (27.3mm x 31.1mm), but the lug to lug (41.5mm) is not provided at all. I think it all turned out in the end. My wrist is 17.5cm btw…

Comfort will tell you if it's a good fit and we can't tell you how that will turn out. Either GADA or watch box queen

Looks good. These square/rectangular watches can get away with smaller sizes👌

·

Looks beautiful!

·

Looks pretty good to me 👍

·

Hammy Boulton is an excellent choice! 💯🔥🫡🙌🏻

·

Looks a little big for my taste. But I think you can pull it off. 👌

·

Looks exactly what a watch that style should look.

Great.

·

Looks perfect to me. Like the blue croc strap

·

You could go smaller even. But looks good as is

·

Looks great on you

·

You get my thumbs up 👍

I have the very same piece (and an 18cm wrist), and I love it. I believe it only feels small when you're coming from wearing a larger watch (my goldilocks size is typically 38mm), but the truth is that dress watches like this are best in "classic" dimensions, which look especially sharp under a suit jacket.

looks fine - as others have said, the 'normal' ideas of big and small get a bit squiffy for square and (especially) rectangular watches.

Broadly speaking the observable area/visual size of a 28mm rectangular watch is about the same as a 34-35mm round watch - given the slight bow in the sides of that and the white dial the visual impact is likely to be closer to a 36-37mm watch.

Also depends a lot on wrist shape -just as lug to lug is more important than case diameter, wrist 'span' is more important than wrist circumference.

One question about comfort though - looks very tight.

Thanks! Re: looking tight. The strap is pretty stiff and it is compressing the sides of my wrist instead of wrapping around. I will work the leather a bit and hopefully it will look and feel better.

Nice watch!

You too lol!

I have a 6 inch wrist and think the smaller size wears like a postage stamp. The large looks good. The dial of this watch takes up less area than a 36mm round watch.

·

Amazing watch. Love this line
