SOTC 2023
I thought I would do a slightly different State of the Collection. The Year has just started and my ambition is not to enlarge my collection for 2023.
As you can see it's more than a SOTC,
it's kinda a state of the obsession😎😂
The essence of my collection consists of numerous Seikos. Most of them are somewhat rarer unknown vintage models that I like to hunt for.
I was able to buy one of my Grail watches this year. It is the centre of the collection. The Grand Seiko SBGN005. For 2024 I plan to add a Spring Drive - White Birch and until then to exercise restraint with new additions. Wish me luck🙏😂
Of course, I have a few God-Tier Casios for all occasions when the going gets a little rough💪
In addition, I now have 6 watches that I have assembled "myself" The three watches at the top left and top right.
Plus two different Tissots and a Swatch, which must have been one of my first watches as a teenager.
By the way, the white Tissot was my only watch for a long time, and I'm sure it was the only watch I wore for more than 10 years.
Last but not least, at the bottom right are the two watches of my great-grandfather (Omega pocket watch and his Buren).
I have a lot of fun with my collection and am happy to share it with you here!

I thought I would do something different. It took me ages to get all the watches out of the boxes😂 But it was worth it and it made me realise the extent of my collection😜

You have captured exactly what I am aiming for with my collection. Diverse, agile and above all a little bit of everything and yet clearly focused within the Seiko range and relatively specific even there. If that makes sense🤣
